Shocking in-flight act by Southwest flyer leaves seatmate stunned

He did what? Passengers on flights do bizarre things all the time — but this one has to be the wildest. Allegedly, a passenger flying a Southwest Airlines flight from Baltimore, Maryland, to Denver, Colorado, earlier this week witnessed a fellow flyer doing drugs, according to View From The Wing. Yes, you read that correctly. Reportedly, the drug-using traveler whipped out a 'steel box [with] lots of bottles inside.' It seemed innocent enough at first — that is, until the flyer 'proceed[ed] to use his Dunkin' Donuts loyalty card to start cutting up lines of cocaine.' The outlet said the flyer then rolled up a $5 bill to do the deed. It's unknown if the crew on the flight stepped in and said or did anything. /x/BoardingArea 'Picks it up and leans toward the window and starts doing blow. I couldn't believe it! Only picture I took, but you can tell what he's doing. Southwest is becoming the new Spirit!' a seatmate who witnessed this told View From The Wing. It's unknown whether this cocaine-using flyer faced any consequences or if the on-flight crew was made aware of this illegal act. By law, if a person is caught traveling in an airport with illegal drugs on them, they can potentially have charges pressed against them and be arrested — depending on the circumstances. The Post reached out to Southwest for comment. Sadly, this isn't the first time passengers tried to party a little too hard while onboard a flight. A group going to Ibiza wanted to start the partying early. daryakomarova – On an easyJet flight to Ibiza — the party capital of the world — a rowdy bunch of British passengers were accused of 'taking pills and drinking alcohol at the same time' while waiting for the flight to take off. The group was supposedly shouting 'Come on Ibizia!' while engaging in unruly behavior. 'Everyone standing, screaming, guys hitting each other, drinking bottles of alcohol one after the other, and stopping the flight attendants from doing their job,' Ibiza resident and fellow passenger on the flight, Erika Barrachina, said. Barrachina was fearful of the inconsiderate group whom she called 'wild animals.' 'I'm not afraid of flying because I've flown around the world but I had a panic attack because it was like being in a pub, in a nightclub, but in the air.' 'It was a really wild 2.5-hour flight,' she added. While easyJet might not have done much, supposedly, Delta took action on one of its recent flights when a flyer was told to spit out his tobacco-free nicotine Zyn pouch on a recent flight. 'Got told to spit my Zyn out on a flight. I really didn't know that was a thing?' the person wrote on the Reddit thread r/delta. 'Delta flight, first class (not that that matters). They brought a cup out and asked me to spit my Zyn out,' the flier said. 'They said it was because it was a tobacco product. I didn't put up a fight and complied right away.

Spanish holiday hotspots call in hundreds of police to deal with unruly Brits

The National Police is getting serious about unruly behaviour on the islands best known for debauchery, heavy drinking and drug taking Hundreds of extra police officers have been sent in to deal with unruly partygoers on five Spanish island resorts. The National Police is getting serious about unruly behaviour on islands best known for debauchery, heavy drinking and drug taking. The force bolstered its ranks in the Balearics by 4.33%, on top of reinforcement of around 300 officers as part of the special Operation Summer measures. ‌ A further 163 officers will be transferred to other locations in response to the Balearic Police Headquarters' commitment to improve public safety during the peak tourist season. Palma, Ibiza, Maó, Ciutadella, and Manacor will all see their ranks bolstered by extra officers. ‌ This year's reinforcement represents a significant increase compared to 2024, especially in terms of new recruits. A total of 130 trainee police officers are being sent in across the island, tasked with patrolling the sunshine islands and guarding the borders. The special Operation Summer officers, some of whom are sent out with dog units, are brought in to control the swollen population of the Balearic Islands during the holiday seasons. Islands such as Palma and Ibiza are huge draws for party people from across the world. As much as this serves as a massive boost to the local economies and has cemented their reputations as the centre of worldwide nightclub culture, locals are growing increasingly tired of criminality linked to an industry so closely connected to the drug trade. The boosted police ranks will also help enforce a series of anti-social behaviour-related laws that have been legislated in recent years in a bid to control the impact of holidaymakers. In May 2024, the government of the Balearic Islands banned on-street drinking and the sale of alcohol in supermarkets between 9:30pm and 8am in party hotspots including including San Antonio in Ibiza, and Playa de Palma and Magaluf in Majorca. Potential fines for those caught breaking these rules have risen from between €500 and €1,500 (£430 - £1290) to as much as €3,100 (£2,580). ‌ The bolstering of the police force comes after a string of high profile incidents involving Brits heading out to the party islands. TikTok influencer Erika Barrachina travelled from London Luton to the Balearic Island with Easyjet. During her journey, she found herself amidst passengers who were "screaming" and "hitting each other". She vented: "My trip yesterday London - Ibiza with easyJet was a real horror! I was scared, a plane full of real English animals! We don't want this type of tourism in Ibiza, they should stay at home!" ‌ Days before the incident, Spanish police had to raid a Ryanair flight after five passengers reportedly wreaked havoc mid-flight on a trip from Newcastle to Alicante. The mayhem unfolded aboard the Boeing 737 service departing from Newcastle International Airport bound for Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport. The disturbance was severe enough to warrant authorities boarding the plane once it touched down. The captain was granted urgent clearance to land due to the passengers' disorderly conduct. An EasyJet spokesperson said at the time: "Flight EZY2307 from Luton to Ibiza on 16th May was met by police on arrival due to a group of passengers behaving in a disruptive manner. EasyJet's cabin crew are trained to assess all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time. "While such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and do not tolerate disruptive behaviour onboard. The safety and wellbeing of passengers and crew is always easyJet's highest priority."

Violence erupts at holiday hotspot boat party as brawling Brits end up in sea

British tourists caused chaos at a boat party in Ibiza after becoming embroiled in a fight which ended with three people in the water. Shocking images captured the moment when two Brits tumbled into the sea, before the party organiser fell in whilst trying to stop the punch-up. It comes after the group of revellers were kicked off the vessel. One of the male tourists was seen pushing and punching the other male into the water, before later joining another brawl further along the seafront in San Antonio. A witness who posted the footage on TikTok titled the video: 'English people in Ibiza' before adding: 'English people are so problematic.' When asked by other social media users how she knew their nationalities, the TikTok user Marylou1313 replied: 'Because I was there.' Another Brit joined in the conversation by insisting: 'English people are very educated, we are not all the same,' prompting the witness to reply: 'I know.' On Monday, footage from an explosive altercation at the popular Marco Polo hotel in the same resort made headlines. One man was struck by a flying chair in the poolside fight and a woman was knocked unconscious. The footage of the hotel brawl was shared on Instagram yesterday by @‌sanantonioibiza. In May, an easyJet passenger branded English tourists she had to share a flight to Ibiza with as 'animals' in an angry rant at the type of holidaymakers her island is letting in. Ibiza resident Erika Barrachina posted footage of the boisterous Brits online as she dubbed them 'scum' and insisted they shouldn't have been allowed on the plane in the first place. In a no-holds-barred message alongside a video of the packed plane where passengers could be seen banging on luggage compartments above them and yelling: 'Come on Ibiza', the Spanish speaker said: 'My flight from London to Ibiza was absolutely horrible. 'I was scared. A plane full of real English animals. Everyone standing, screaming, guys hitting each other, drinking bottles of alcohol one after the other and stopping the flight attendants from doing their job. Real hell." She added: 'This video is the just the end because I couldn't film what happened during the journey. Before boarding the plane they were drunk and high. Taking pills and drinking alcohol at the same time, which I saw with my own eyes. It was a really wild 2.5 hour flight. 'This shouldn't be allowed. They shouldn't let scum like this get on a plane or sell alcohol on board. We don't want this type of tourism in Ibiza, they should stay at home. I had a very bad time and the flight attendants unable to do anything because how do you control this wild animals inside a plane. There has to be a solution.'
