Father, daughter duo to bring gourmet burger chain Dog Haus to Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Dog Haus, a popular restaurant known for its gourmet burgers, hot dogs, and craft beers, is expanding into Louisiana for the first time. The first location is set to open in spring 2026, with two more to follow.
A news release said the locations are planned for Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette.
The expansion is led by a family team: Gregg Strasburger, his daughter Erin LeDoux, and her husband Matt LeDoux, a Lake Charles native with Baton Rouge roots.
According to the release, they are opening three other locations in Texas, working with retired Chick-fil-A operator Steven Vinson in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Dog Haus is also known for its fried chicken sandwiches and plant-based options — all served on grilled King's Hawaiian rolls. The restaurants also offer craft cocktails and local beers.
'We're excited to bring Dog Haus to Louisiana,' said Strasburger. 'With all-beef dogs, Black Angus burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, plant-based options, craft cocktails, and local beers, the menu truly has something for everyone. But it's more than just the food — every Dog Haus becomes a part of the community. It's a place to kick back, enjoy the vibe, and spend quality time with family and friends. We can't wait to bring that energy here.'
