West Brom loanee returns to parent club amid Motherwell injury woe

The Steelmen have issued an injury update on Eseosa Sule Motherwell have announced that forward Eseosa Sule is set to be "missing for a period of time" due to injury and has returned to parent club West Brom for treatment. ‌ The 19-year-old joined the Steelmen on a season-long loan this summer but just one game into the Premiership campaign, he will play no part in Jens Berthel Askou's plans for the foreseeable future. ‌ He played in three of the club's Premier Sports Cup clashes last month but missed Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Rangers. ‌ Motherwell have remained tight-lipped on both the nature of his injury and the time he will spend on the sidelines with a club statement saying: "After constant and continuous communication between both clubs since the injury occurred, it has been decided that the West Brom loanee will return to his parent club to begin the rehabilitation process and will return to Motherwell when he has completed his recovery." Fir Park gaffer Askou added: "Eseosa has made a very good impression since he arrived and was growing with the team and developing really well until his injury. 'It's very unfortunate for him and us that we will now be missing him for a while. We all look forward to his return to full fitness and for him to continue his journey with us on the pitch.' Sule said on his Instagram page: "Gutted to be missing the start of the season, but I'll be back stronger."
