Held at Esplanade Theatre, the show will be performed by an 18-piece orchestra, while scenes from the anime (2019 to 2024) are projected onto a full-sized cinema screen. The series is set in a fictional world where humanity battles the threat of demons. It centres on a teenager, Tanjiro Kamado, who endeavours to become a demon slayer to avenge his family, who were killed by a demon. One of his sisters was turned into a demon, and Tanjiro hopes to find a remedy to turn her back into a human. The 120-minute performance promises to capture the series' emotional depth and cinematic grandeur in a live setting. It will focus on the anime's first season, titled Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc . In 2019, American streaming service Funimation named Demon Slayer 'animation of the decade'. In 2020, the series won the Animation of the Year prize at the Tokyo Anime Awards, as well as the Anime of the Year accolade at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. First, we watched the original Ghibli singers perform iconic film soundtracks live, and soon, musical genius Joe Hisaishi – the legend responsible for all your favourites by Hayao Miyazaki – will be gracing the stage at The Esplanade to play tunes from The Boy and the Heron on the piano. But wait, there's more for fans of Japanese animation: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba In Concert is making its way to Singapore for the first time ever, in a one-night-only show on October 18, 2025 at the Esplanade Theatre. In this two-hour concert, you'll be watching a skilled 18-piece orchestra bust out hit after hit from the Demon Slayer's Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve arc. Expect riveting instrumental versions of iconic songs like LiSA's Gurenge and other theme songs of the popular award-winning anime series, as clips from the show are projected on a massive screen in the background for the full immersive experience. It focuses on the soundtracks from the first season, otherwise known as the Unwavering Resolve Arc, with ticket sales beginning on 19 June at 11 am SGT. The full list of prices is as follows: VIP Box: S$179 Cat 1: S$153 Cat 2: S$112 Cat 3: S$92 Cat 4 (Restricted View): S$71 Singapore marks the second Asia stop for Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba In Concert, following a two-day performance in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 20 and 21 September. Other tour locations include Montréal (10 August), Melbourne (24 October), Brisbane (26 October), Sydney (31 October), Düsseldorf (29 May 2026), and possibly more, according to the FAQ on the official website. Based on Koyoharu Gotoge's manga of the same name, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family is killed by a demon, as he joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his younger sister Nezuko back into a human after she is transformed into a demon. The first season aired in 2019, followed by the Mugen Train (translated to Infinity Train in English) film in October 2020, as well as a separate Mugen Train Arc series and Entertainment District Arc that aired from 2021 through 2022. In the same year, a fourth season was aired, with the upcoming Infinity Castle feature serving as the first in a trilogy adapting the final arc of the manga. Local audiences will enjoy first dibs after Japan, joining Malaysia and Pakistan in the first wave of global rollouts on 14 August.
