The two played childhood sweethearts who have been quarrelling since they were young. Liu, who was a member of the musical duo Sweety with Joanne Tseng, admitted that she was attracted by Lian's appearance at first, according to TVBS News. After getting to know him, she found that he was someone who would show his vulnerability and the two later slowly got familiar with each other. Lian's meticulous care for Liu's foot injury at the beginning of the year also made her determined to spend the rest of her life with Lian. It was also reported that Lian had initially thought that Liu was a very strong person, but after getting to know her and discovering her feminine side, it made him unconsciously want to protect her. 25 Feb - Esther Liu recently revealed that having had to use a wheelchair after injuring her leg due to a fall has helped her develop a new perspective in life. The actress, who shared a video on Instagram of her being wheeled everywhere before moving to using crutches due to her leg injury, said that being in such a situation really made her feel helpless and powerless, but it also gave her a new understanding about the world around her, including the importance of accessible spaces. "We are all vulnerable, and we are all in need. For example, we can all be a helper, even if it's just helping block an elevator, open a car door... I gained so many strange kindnesses on this journey, and the weight of that moment was like the world was at peace," she said. Esther also assured that she is fine, and thanked her agency, work team, doctors, family and friends. "Thank you for holding my body, mind and soul firmly at this time.
