The past week for the Mississippi Mud Monsters has been busy. They are third in the Midwest Conference- west division. The Mud Monsters lost the series to the Evansville Otters. Evansville Flag Group and Otters to raise money for Marvin Gray tribute
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Evansville Flag Group and the Evansville Otters will be raising funds to construct a permanent memorial outside of Bosse Field in honor of Flag Chairman Marvin Gray. Marvin was a regular fixture at Otters and Triplets games for over 50 years, raising the flag before Otters games and manually operating the scoreboard at Bosse Field. In honor of his legacy as a lifelong Evansville Sports fan, the Evansville Flag Group has started a GoFundMe to raise money for a lasting tribute to Marvin nearly a decade since his passing. The Evansville Otters will wear city flag jerseys on June 14, Flag Day, in his honor and to raise awareness of the GoFundMe campaign for his memorial. After the game, fans will be able to see a fireworks display in celebration of Marvin's life. An auction will be held for fans to bid on the jerseys won by the Otters during the Flag Day game. Otter center fielder Graham Brown named player of the week
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Evansville Otters center fielder Graham Brown has been named the Frontier League player of the week. Brown batted 12-22 this week including a home run and four doubles. He slashed for .545/.600/.955 including a one homer, three RBI game against Schaumburg. Opening week for Evansville Otters' 2025 season
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Officials say after eight months, it is finally time for Evansville Otters baseball again. The Evansville Otters invite people to join the team at Bosse Field this week for the first three of 48 home games in 2025. Fisher dazzles as Memorial shuts out Reitz Officials say on Thursday, it's a 'Thirsty Thursday Opening Day,' and Dream Center Evansville is involved with this event. The Evansville Otters say it will have drink specials throughout the ballpark and opening day pregame festivities. On Friday, Bosse Field is 'Live from 1995' as the Evansville Otters celebrate the beginning of its 30th season in Evansville. A throwback jersey will be worn on-field for the team's first DASH auction of the year. Castle baseball takes down Jasper in commanding fashion The Evansville Otters say opening weekend will conclude on Saturday, with a 'Superhero Night.' The team invites people to come see their favorite superheroes and be part of the team's 'kid's superhero contest.'
