The couple's friends and fellow actors congratulated them in the comments of the post, including "Wizards of Waverly Place" actor David DeLuise and "Even Stevens" actress Christy Carlson Romano, who wrote, "Baby girl LETS GO!!!! 🎀." In an exclusive interview with People on Friday, van der Pol, who has two sisters, said she "could not be happier to bring another girl into the sisterhood." "There's something about a girl in this time that I'm just so proud of," she told the outlet. She added, "I don't want her to be a performer or care if she's a she WILL be a feminist." Van der Pol and Wilson tied the knot in December 2024. The couple eloped at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. Prior to Friday's baby news, the couple said they weren't sure if they were going to have kids. "We knew early on in our relationship that we had something amazing between us, so we had the kids convo early on and agreed -- let's just focus on career and travel," Wilson told People on Friday. The outlet noted that the two revisited the subject years later and decided to meet with a fertility doctor. Van der Pol told People that she found out she was pregnant "literally the day before we were meant to meet our [in vitro fertilization] doctor." "I realized I was late," she said. "So I took a test, saw two lines, and canceled our appointment. I put the pregnancy stick on Johnno's pillow and watched him figure it out when he came in to bring me my morning coffee."

Former Disney star Christy Carlson Romano reveals shocking details about nearly losing her eye

Christy Carlson Romano is speaking out about nearly losing an eye after she was shot in the face four months ago. During an appearance on the upcoming June 10 episode of the "Not a Damn Chance!" podcast, via a sneak peek by People magazine, the 41-year-old former Disney star recalled the terrifying incident while she was shooting clay pigeons with her husband, Brendan Rooney, for his birthday. Asked how it happened, Romano explained she was not "at liberty to say specifics," according to People. The actress previously revealed on Instagram that she was "hit in five places," including below her eye. Romano shared details for the first time about what transpired. "It's a birdshot that got sprayed in my direction by another party, and essentially it was within 200 feet, which means really fast and hot," she told hosts Neen Williams and Frankland Lee. "They weren't malicious," Romano clarified. "It wasn't aggravated assault. It's what happened." The "Even Stevens" star then emphasized the importance of gun safety and described her initial response. "I feel very out of body about it. … It's pretty wild," she said. "I'm shocked, and what goes through my head immediately is, 'Oh that's dope, I just got shot.' And then I go, 'Oh now I'm gonna die,'" she said. "I take a knee. My husband witnessed it and was like, 'Hey are you hit?' because I didn't scream. I didn't do anything. I was just out of body." Romano recalled she had a knee-jerk reaction upon being shot that stemmed from her time on the third season of the FOX reality TV series "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test." In the show, celebrity contestants take on grueling military exercises and challenges under the direction of ex-Special Forces operatives. Romano explained that the contestants were trained to give a thumbs-up to let their fellow cast members know that they were OK during the series' perilous challenges. The "Kim Possible" alum recalled that, out of habit, she gave Rooney a thumbs-up immediately after she was shot. "He was like, 'Oh, you're good.' And I was like, 'No I'm hit.' He goes, 'Oh s---,'" Romano recalled of her husband's reaction. She remembered that Rooney rushed to her aid and had to restrain himself from retaliating against the other party. "So, he's running to me and making sure I'm OK, and he's fighting the urge to hurt the person … but he's been practicing stoicism recently, and there was something in him," Romano recalled. "He was immediately into action mode, evaluating me and ran to get the car. "I felt this huge rush that I'd never felt before where I was starting to get really woozy. I think it was shock." Romano told the hosts she didn't experience any pain initially and described the thoughts that were running through her head, including her fears her children might be affected. The actress shares daughters Isabella, 7, and Sofia, 5, with Rooney. "I was covered in blood from my forehead … and I said three things. I was like, 'Am I gonna die? Who's gonna take care of the girls? Is my career over?'" she recalled. Romano explained that she came close to being blinded or killed. "If my head would've been tilted in any other direction, I would have been blind in my right eye. Or if I had turned my head, I could have gotten hit in a softer side of my skull, and I would have potentially been dead," Romano said. "It's still in my eye," she said of the pellets from the shotgun. "I have a fragment still in my forehead, and I have a fragment still behind my eye, which is 1 millimeter away from blinding me." Romano previously explained on Instagram that the lead fragment behind her eye had to remain in her face because removing it could leave her blind. The shot fragment lodged in her skull will also remain in place because doctors said it will expedite her healing process. During her podcast interview, Romano told hosts she put on a brave face at first and was making jokes about her medical crisis after she arrived at the hospital. "In retrospect, I was trying to be funny and not cry because I wanted the people around me to feel more calm so that they could take better care of me," Romano said. The former Broadway star admitted that it has been difficult to accept she is a "gunshot survivor." Clay pigeon shooting is an outdoor sport in which upside-down circular disks made of limestone and pitch used as targets are propelled into the air by machines called traps. Shooters use shotguns, with each shot projecting hundreds of small lead balls to hit the clay pigeons. The sport is typically not considered dangerous as long as safety measures are followed.

Even Stevens fans STUNNED at shocking transformation of beloved actor

Even Stevens star Steven Anthony Lawrence has shocked fans with his transformation almost two decades after appearing on the beloved kids' show. The 34-year-old actor, who played Bernard 'Beans' Aranguren in the adored Disney Channel show, has stunned the internet after appearing in a series of videos shared far and wide on social media. In one clip, Lawrence danced to a track by DeVon True and Que Tha Poet with his shirt off in a car park. Standing at 5ft1, Lawrence seemed in high spirits as he thrusted his hips and raised his arms to the sky. 'The year is 2025 and this is Beans from Even Stevens,' the caption across the clip read, despite being uploaded to TikTok in October. Taking to the comments, one uneasy user said: 'I don't know how I feel about this.' Another said: 'This feels illegal idk how to explain.' 'I know it doesn't even compute in my brain,' a third agreed. Another added: 'I'm so annoyed that this is exactly where I imagined Beans going. That or space.' 'He kinda looks like he teaches high school Math or English,' commented a fifth. Referring to the sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, a sixth said: 'They gotta get him on Sunny.' In another clip shared in February, Lawrence appeared alongside artist DeVon True in another music video. This time, the pair danced side by side in a car park. Lawrence found fame when he bagged a recurring role alongside Shia LaBeouf on the Disney Channel original series Even Stevens in 2001. On the show, Lawrence played Beans, the Stevens' extremely annoying neighbor, who comes into their home uninvited, makes himself at home, and refuses to leave. Beans' love of bacon was a recurring theme in the comedy and in one episode, titled Little Mr. Sacktown, his character even visits a bacon shack. His character eventually turned into a sidekick for Louis, played by LaBeouf, and Twitty's schemes, with him usually double-crossing the two. A.J. Trauth played Twitty. Lawrence starred in a grand total of 22 episodes. He also starred in The Even Stevens Movie before he departed the series in 2003. Later that year he enjoyed a role in the Steve Martin film Cheaper by the Dozen. He went on to land roles in popular television shows such as Married... with Children, The Amanda Show and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch all before the age of 10. Lawrence also starred in well-known series including Frasier, ER, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and That's So Raven. He then appeared in several other movies including Rebound in 2005, Bratz in 2007, and Archie's Final Project in 2009. Lawrence's last movie appearance was in Holly, Jingles and Clyde 3D, in 2013. He played Jingles. Lawrence has also appeared in various TV commercials. In 2011, he portrayed a pink elf in the T-Mobile holiday advertisement, and in 2012, he wore a dog costume for an Old Spice commercial. The actor is fairly active on social media and posts regularly on Instagram - where he has 4,874 followers. He also hosted a podcast with his former Even Stevens costars Christy Carlson Romano - who played Ren Stevens - and Nick Spano - who played Donnie Stevens - for several months last year. The trio reunited for the first time in years to revisit the wacky world of Even Stevens every Thursday, where they would re-watch an episode of the show, share behind-the-scenes stories as well as inside jokes, and reminisce about their time on set. They also spoke about their lives since being on the show, and the impact that Even Stevens has had on them. In a July 2023 episode, Lawrence confessed that he almost 'went to Disney jail' when he was younger because he and his girlfriend at the time were 'getting a little hot and frisky' while in the Haunted Mansion attraction. More recently, Lawrence has been showing off his teeth on Instagram after a visit to Dr. Jonathan Gabai in Beverly Hills where he got himself a 'new smile.' In a 2021 interview with Vice, Lawrence opened up about why he had been sporting a missing tooth before investing in his dazzling new smile. 'I was taking care of a friend's big ol' fish. I was right next to this thing going, "Here fishy, fishy, fishy," and this stupid thing kind of splashed and startled me, and I went forward into the [tank] and chipped my damn tooth,' he explained. 'It's extremely embarrassing.' In the past, Lawrence has also opened up about his addiction to drugs and alcohol. He has been sober since 2019. He also speaks at high schools warning students about the dangers of substance abuse.

‘The Wonder Years' star Danica McKellar opens up about escaping Hollywood's ‘superficiality'

Danica McKellar found stardom as the girl next door, Winnie Cooper, on 'The Wonder Years' as a teenager, but by the time the show was over, the actress knew she needed a break from Hollywood. 'When I finished 'The Wonder Years,' I went to UCLA to get a degree in mathematics,' the 50-year-old told Closer Weekly. She continued, 'I stopped acting for four years. I just needed to find out who else I was. For me, the way I could find out was just to do something else and really exercise my brain and let go of all the glamour and superficiality of Hollywood. That was really empowering to me.' After college, McKellar returned to her acting roots on shows like 'Love Boat: The Next Wave,' 'Even Stevens,' and former 'The Wonder Years' co-star Fred Savage's late '90s show 'Working.' But she said when she returned to the industry, she felt like she was trying to 'catch up.' 'I was doing all these independent films that weren't very good,' she admitted. 'Then I started getting some traction. I did 'The West Wing' for a season.' 5 Danica McKellar found stardom on 'The Wonder Years' as a teenager, but by the time the show was over, the actress knew she needed a break from Hollywood. Getty Images McKellar told Closer that even though she knew she 'had to' take a break from acting during college, 'I was still worried about it. What if I can't go back to acting? What if I don't pass the math test?' Along with 'The West Wing,' McKellar also did episodes of 'NCIS,' 'NYPD Blue,' 'How I Met Your Mother,' and 'The Big Bang Theory' before she began to find her stride as a Christmas movie princess. Last fall, McKellar told Fox News Digital that she was excited about her latest holiday movie with Great American Family, 'A Cinderella Christmas Ball,' because it's the first time she's gotten a writing credit on a movie. 5 McKellar starred as Winnie Cooper on 'The Wonder Years.' 5 'I stopped acting for four years. I just needed to find out who else I was. For me, the way I could find out was just to do something else and really exercise my brain and let go of all the glamour and superficiality of Hollywood,' McKellar said. 'This is a wonderful experience for me. It's been amazing because I got to write the script with someone else, but it's the first time my name is on the script for one of these movies, and it's really gratifying,' she said. 'Plus, I get to waltz in it! I love ballroom dance, as I think everybody knows who follows me on social media.' McKellar has been starring in Christmas movies since 2012, when she played the lead in 'Love at the Christmas Table,' and has acted in many since, including 'Crown for Christmas,' 'My Christmas Dream,' 'Coming Home for Christmas,' and 'Christmas at Dollywood.' In her opinion, the popularity of Christmas movies continues to rise because 'people need comfort' and a way to 'escape from this crazy world,' which holiday flicks provide. 5 'When I finished 'The Wonder Years,' I went to UCLA to get a degree in mathematics,' the 50-year-old told Closer Weekly. Getty Images 'More than an escape, it provides a reminder of what human nature can be,' she told Fox News Digital. 'We need that. We need that reminder. We need, yes, the feeling of comfort, but also ideas for how to move forward in a wholesome, earnest kind of way.' In addition to her work, McKellar is passionate about her faith. She said she finally got perspective on her life three years ago when she 'came into' her faith. 5 Since coming back to Hollywood, McKellar is now known as the 'Christmas movie princess.' ©Hallmark Entertainment/Courtesy Everett Collection 'It just hit me like all at once,' she told Closer. 'I had a lot of biases against Christianity for most of my life because of looking at the wars – the Spanish Inquisition.' She said she previously thought of Christianity as some sort of 'evil force that was controlling people,' adding that it's 'really interesting and strange for me to suddenly be talking about Jesus.' McKellar said she realized faith isn't about religion but rather 'having a relationship with God,' which she said for her is about 'letting go and trusting and not thinking that I have to be in charge of everything all the time.'

Christy Carlson Romano says stray bullet was ‘less than 1 millimeter' from blinding her

Former Disney Channel star Christy Carlson Romano has provided an update on her recovery after taking a birdshot near the eye while shooting clay pigeons for her husband's birthday. In a new Instagram post on Tuesday, Romano shared a video from her recent visit with an oculoplastic surgeon. 'It is a miracle,' Romano wrote in the caption. 'The shot was less than 1mm from permanently blinding me. @drseanpaul also explained that the shot missed all the vital parts of my eye by moving around them like a marble hugging the curve of a bowl (it's an anomaly).' She had previously shared that there were still pellet fragments embedded in her face, noting now that the one below her eye 'must remain in place, as surgically removing it could leave me blind.' 'The shot fragment in my forehead is lodged in my skull and doctors have decided to leave it, as it will accelerate the healing process,' she said. However, she assured fans she 'should fully recover with no issues at all, though I may never be able to get an MRI again.' Over the weekend, the 40-year-old Even Stevens alum posted an Instagram video revealing her gruesome injury. 'So I got shot in the eye. It was not fun. I am safe,' Romano said, pointing to a deep bruise underneath her right eye. 'This is really bad tonight,' she continued, pulling down her bottom eyelid to show her eye's broken blood vessels. 'I get to say I got shot in the face, and lived to tell the tale,' the Kim Possible actor added before reminding fans to 'be grateful for every day.' She shared further details of the accident in the post's caption, explaining that 'there was another party with us and they unsafely fired in the wrong direction and shot me in the face.' Praising her husband, Brendan Rooney, who 'immediately sprung into action, assessed me, and rushed me to the hospital,' she said: 'I was hit in 5 places, one was less than an inch from hitting me directly in my right eye.' 'With everything that happened, all I can think about is how grateful I am to be alive. I love my daughters, husband, family, and friends so much. I saw my life flash before my eyes and I'm telling you, hug the people around you every chance you can. Life can change in an instant.' Romano, who shares two daughters with her husband of more than a decade, is best known for her portrayal of Ren Stevens on the three-season Disney Channel sitcom Even Stevens. She was also the voice behind the titular red-headed superhero of the animated series Kim Possible. The star recently competed in the third season of the hit reality series Special Forces: World's Toughest Test. She was eliminated in the eighth episode, which aired on January 29.
