Bryan Cranston and Allison Janney are Struggling Theater People in Trailer for Everything's Going to be Great
Bryan Cranston has put Breaking Bad way behind him, and though he hasn't landed anything quite like Walter White, he's still a dynamite talent.
Just in, Lionsgate has dropped a trailer for Everything's Going to be Great , and it has Cranston with Allison Janney playing a struggling family of theater people. Check this out:
Here's the official description:
There's no business like show business — for Buddy and Macy Smart (Primetime Emmy® winner Bryan Cranston and Oscar® winner Allison Janney) that means an unpredictable life in regional theater while trying to raise their radically different sons, Lester and Derrick. Through it all, Buddy pursues his unstoppable dreams, and Macy is left to pull it all together and keep the family afloat. As the family grapples with identity and belonging, they share a humorous and heartfelt journey of self-discovery, learning the power of owning your spotlight, no matter what stage of life you're in.
Besides Cranston and Janney, the movie also includes Chris Cooper, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth (Disney's Pinocchio reboot), and Jack Champion ( Avatar: The Way of Water ).
It's aso also worth mentioning that the film is written by Steven Rogers who was the writer behind the biopic I, Tonya . The director, Jon S. Baird, was also at the helm of the Tetris movie as well as the Laurel and Hardy biopic Stan and Ollie .
As someone who was a theater kid who absolutely loves musicals, this movie totally looks like it's up my alley. Theater Camp was such a nostalgia trip for me, and Everything's Going to be Great looks like it's going to be a love letter to struggling artists in today's day and age.
Everything's Going to be Great comes to cinemas on June 20.
