Judy Hopps And Nick Wilde Go Undercover In First Zootopia 2 Trailer

Last Updated: Disney has unveiled the first teaser trailer of Zootopia 2, reuniting the beloved Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. It's time to reunite with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, with Disney finally arriving with the much-awaited Zootopia 2. Over two years after the sequel was announced, the first teaser trailer has been dropped, promising more fun and chaos as the rookie cop and con artist go on another mission. Directed by the returning Jared Bush and Byron Howard, Zootopia will show Judy (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick (Jason Bateman) in the middle of a great mystery after the arrival of Gary De'Snake in Zootopia, who turns the animal metropolis upside down. 'To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before," the trailer synopsis reads. The sequel introduces Everything Everywhere All At Once star Ke Huy Quan as the snake Gary, marking an expansion in the Zootopia world to include reptiles and other semi-aquatic creatures. Backed by high-pitched techno beats, the clip opens to show Gary hilariously crossing paths with Nick and Judy, only to lead them in a police chase throughout Zootopia. Along the way, they encounter a mysterious cloaked figure with glowing eyes. With the trio promising a complete riot, the teaser concludes with flashes of several returning characters as well as new faces like Nibbles (Fortune Feimster) and Dr Fuzzby (Quinta Brunson). Not to forget, Shakira is also back, reprising her role as the singer Gazelle. 'Gazelle is back, and she's got a new look, a new song, and, of course, new dance moves. Just wait until you see what she and her tiger dancers have been working on," the pop icon said at the D23 Brazil Expo last year. While Zootopia 2 is directed and written by Jared Bush, the original 2016 film was helmed by Rich Moore and Byron Howard, collecting over $1 billion globally. The film even won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film alongside a Golden Globe. Speaking about the sequel, director Jared Bush welcomed audiences to the 'outrageous, expansive animal metropolis of Zootopia," promising to take them on a wild ride into the unexplored parts of the city. 'Whether it's the marshes of semi-aquatic mammals, the vast desert dunes, or even greater mysteries beyond, our heroes, Judy and Nick, will meet a lot of new friends and discover even more about the world, themselves, and a brand-new snake in town," he added, as per Deadline. Zootopia 2 releases on November 26. First Published: May 21, 2025, 17:58 IST

Trump's week that was: Deals, claims and downgrade

Donald J Trump has a mastery over occupying attention, verbalising to dominate discourse. Trump explained his approach in The Art of the Deal: 'I play to people's fantasies. People want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular.' As the world grappled with uncertainty and his word salads, Trump embodied the political version of the film Everything Everywhere All At Once, an exploration of alternative visions and realities. Trump started the week claiming to be a peace-maker. 'My administration helped broker an immediate ceasefire, I think a permanent one between India and Pakistan.' By Thursday, active intervention was toned down to passive persuasion, that he helped settle the tensions between India and Pakistan. Trump's week didn't end well, stained by a no-show by Vladimir Putin, Republicans in rebellion and a downgrade of US by Moody's. That said, the wizardry was in full display Monday through Friday, as Trump courted the royalty of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE to charm and be charmed. The imagery of flattery, tariff threats, and claims of glory were inescapable across touch screens and living rooms. To assess the success, it is necessary to sift the daylight between hyperbole and reality. Trump presented Saudi Arabia with a glimpse of the artful dodge, deal-making with a cocktail of geopolitics and geo-economics. The lifting of sanctions over Syria and a photo-op meeting with Syria's Ahmed al-Sharaa, at the behest of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, provided mood music for the parade of deals. Trump claimed the Saudis would invest over $600 billion in the US. Typically, he summed up saying, 'We are rocking.'

Why Jamie Lee Curtis Had Plastic Surgery At 25

Warning: Discussion of substance abuse. You know Jamie Lee Curtis. You might know her from the Halloween franchise, Freaky Friday, or her Academy Award-winning performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once. It all depends on which generation you most identify with, doesn't it? I'm sure you've seen this questionably spicy scene on your timelines before, too? It's from Jamie's 1985 movie, Perfect. In a 60 Minutes interview, Jamie revealed what prompted her to undergo a plastic surgery procedure while working on this movie, and the reason is rather painful. The two-time Golden Globe winner said in the interview that she had plastic surgery at the age of 25 after a comment from a cinematopgrapher on the set of Perfect. "He was like, 'Yeah, I'm not shooting her today," Jamie said. "Her eyes are baggy." "And I was 25, so for him to say that, it was very embarrassing," Jamie explained in the interview. "So as soon as the movie finished, I ended up having some plastic surgery." Jamie said the surgery didn't go as planned, and it's something that she regrets now. "That's just not what you want to do when you're 25 or 26. And I regretted it immediately and have kind of sort of regretted it since," she said. Her regret lies in the fact that today, she's an advocate for embracing your natural beauty. "I've become a really public advocate to say to women you're gorgeous and you're perfect the way you are. So yeah, it was not a good thing for me to do." In the interview, Jamie also revealed that she developed a dependence on painkillers following her plastic surgery. 'Well, they give them to you!' she said. "I became very enamored with the warm bath of an opiate. You know, drank a little bit … never to access, never any big public demonstrations. I was very quiet, very private about it, but it became a dependency for sure." This isn't the first time Jamie spoke about her past with addictions and plastic surgery. In 2021, she told Fast Company, "I tried plastic surgery and it didn't work. It got me addicted to Vicodin," she said at the time of the interview. "I'm 22 years sober now." "The current trend of fillers and procedures, and this obsession with filtering, and the things that we do to adjust our appearance on Zoom are wiping out generations of beauty," she continued. "Once you mess with your face, you can't get it back." Look, Jamie's been in the game for a minute, and one thing she's going to do is keep it real about her journey and experience, and that's why she's held it down from '80s scream queen and beyond. Jamie Lee Curtis publicly shamed Mark Zuckerberg to remove a deepfaked ad—and it worked

Jamie Lee Curtis shamed Mark Zuckerberg about Meta's slow pace to remove an ad that used AI images of her. Curtis said she had gone through all the proper channels, but received no reply. Within two hours of publicly reaching out to Zuckerberg, the ad was taken down. Mark Zuckerberg is learning a lesson that anyone who watched Everything Everywhere All At Once could have warned him about: Don't make Jamie Lee Curtis angry. The Academy Award winning actress publicly shamed the Meta founder for his company's failure to remove an AI-manipulated ad that made it appear as though Curtis was endorsing products of questionable quality. The posts, on Curtis's Facebook and Instagram pages, were a last ditch effort to have the ads removed. "It's come to this @zuck," Curtis wrote. "Hi. We have never met. My name is Jamie Lee Curtis and I have gone through every proper channel to ask you and your team to take down this totally AI fake commercial for some bullshit that I didn't authorize, agree to or endorse." The public scolding worked. Two hours after she made the post, Curtis offered an update saying, "It worked! Yay Internet! Shame has its value!" Because the video was not referenced directly and because it was taken down, it's not clear exactly which products were trying to capitalize on Curtis' fame. In her update, the actress said the footage was manipulated from an interview she did on MSNBC. "If I have a brand, besides being an actor and author and advocate, it is that I am known for telling the truth and saying it like it is and for having integrity and this (MIS)use of my images (taken from an interview I did with @stephruhle during the fires) with new, fake words put in my mouth, diminishes my opportunities to actually speak my truth," she wrote. Curtis is hardly the first actor to have their image coopted by companies using AI. Tom Hanks has warned followers about ads "promoting miracle cures and wonder drugs" using his name and voice.
