Justin Timberlake at BottleRock Napa Valley marks a major comeback after a tumultuous year

Justin Timberlake closed the final date of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour on a high note during his BottleRock Napa Valley debut. His triumphant headlining set on Saturday, May 24, marked the second day of the Wine Country festival and the end of a year-long global tour in support of his 2024 album 'Everything I Thought It Was.' Over the course of two hours, the Memphis-born pop star offered a dynamic blend of new and classic hits, displaying his trademark energy, impeccable choreography and smooth falsetto vocals. Backed by his band, the Tennessee Kids, and five backup dancers, Timberlake orchestrated a vibrant, high-octane show that captivated the sold-out festival crowd. Songs like 'Mirrors,' 'My Love' and 'Can't Stop the Feeling' fueled the euphoric atmosphere, while an electric brass section and agile dancers added visual flair. The show came after a particularly tumultuous period for Timberlake, including several canceled concerts earlier in the year due to health issues, as well as a DUI arrest last June. But any lingering controversy seemed to dissipate in Napa. Timberlake spoke to the crowd with equal measures of sincerity and whimsy. 'I wish you all a healthy weekend with as little tannins as possible,' he quipped, describing the bitter compounds in wine. He also cheekily wore a T-shirt bearing a vintage pin-up shot of his wife, actress Jessica Biel, that, on first glance, many in the audience assumed depicted his ex, Britney Spears, following her recent headline-grabbing exploits. While his latest album received mixed reviews, the live setting breathed new life into tracks like 'Selfish' and 'Play,' which were well-received by the crowd. Older hits such as 'Cry Me A River' and 'SexyBack' stirred a rush of nostalgia that earned cheers at every turn. Timberlake, who has evolved into a polished and versatile performer over his 30-year career, demonstrated his enduring appeal and growth as an artist. The night was a reminder of his musical and cultural influence, leaving fans excited for what comes next. 'I know I'll see you again someday,' Timberlake assured fans. He capped off an action-packed day at BottleRock, which also featured a high-energy set by up-and-coming pop sensation Benson Boone, a surprisingly solid performance by actor-turned-singer Kate Hudson, and a highly anticipated reunion performance by 4 Non Blondes, who marked their first appearance in 30 years. Their rendition of 'What's Up?' sparked one of the loudest singalongs in BottleRock history. Elsewhere, the Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage was alive with cooking demonstrations from stars like Red Hot Chili Peppers' Anthony Kiedis, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale and 'Modern Family' star Adam Devine, along with a parade of 'Top Chef' stars including Kristen KishBrooke Williamson and brothers Michael and Bryan Voltaggio.

Jessica Biel turned 43 years old on Monday (March 3), and to celebrate, her husband Justin Timberlake took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post about the actress. 'Happy Birthday to my rock. My best friend. My favorite. My GOAT. To the one that believes in me when I don't believe in myself… The one that makes me laugh like nobody else can. To the one that showed me a real love,' he wrote alongside a video of the duo hugging and swaying back and forth, soundtracked by Timberlake's 'Mirrors,' famously written about Biel. He wrapped the North American leg of the tour last week — though the final show was canceled due to Timberlake battling the flu. However, the run is scheduled to pick back up again in April, where he's set to perform in Mexico. Justin Timberlake cancels final US concert 10 minutes before showtime

NEW YORK — Justin Timberlake didn't go out with a bang for the final U.S. stop of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, canceling the concert just before showtime. The plug was pulled Thursday after the doors had already opened at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, and just 10 minutes before the opening act was set to take the stage. The 'Cry Me a River' crooner took to social media to explain that he 'went into soundcheck battling the flu' and that the illness had 'gotten the best' of him. 'You guys. I'm heartbroken. I have to cancel the show tonight,' he wrote on Instagram. 'It kills me to disappoint you, and my team worked so hard to make this show happen. I want to reassure you, you'll be getting refunds for your tickets. I love you all.' Timberlake was originally scheduled to perform the Columbus concert in October but it was postponed to February after he reportedly came down with laryngitis and bronchitis. The rescheduled show was the last of Timberlake's U.S. leg of his international tour, in support of 'Everything I Thought It Was,' his first album in six years. He plans to continue touring next month in Europe and South America. Promoter Live Nation hasn't announced a rescheduled date for the Columbus show, but Ticketmaster confirmed the availability of a refund. 'You don't need to do a thing,' it wrote on its website. 'We'll issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer. It should appear on your account within 14-21 days.'

Justin Timberlake cancels final US concert minutes before show set to start

Justin Timberlake cancelled the final show of his US tour in Columbus, Ohio, barely 10 minutes before the concert was set to start. The Columbia gig was originally set for November but was postponed along with five other shows to February as the singer was suffering from bronchitis and laryngitis. It was rescheduled as the last leg of Timberlake's Forget Tomorrow World Tour. The 'SexyBack' singer said he went into soundcheck with the flu and 'it's gotten the best of me'. 'You guys. I'm heartbroken,' he wrote on Instagram. 'I have to cancel the show tonight. I went into soundcheck battling the flu and now it's gotten the best of me. It kills me to disappoint you, and my team worked so hard to make this show happen. I want to reassure you, you'll be getting refunds for your tickets. I love you all.' According to WBNS-10TV and multiple social media posts from disappointed fans, Timberlake's Instagram post went out no more than 10-15 minutes before the concert at the Nationwide Arena was scheduled to start at 7.30pm. Fans were left livid due to the short notice of the cancellation and questioned why the singer left the decision until the last minute. 'Everyone leaving Nationwide Arena because Justin Timberlake cancelled the LAST tour date after already rescheduling from October. 10 minutes before the opener and after doors opened,' posted a fan, sharing a video of other concert attendees leaving the venue. 'Justin Timberlake posted at 7:20 he canceled the show. The doors were already open. He wasn't sound checking at 7:20. He could've announced hours ago before we all wasted our time and money. He owes us more than a refund,' said another. Timberlake will continue his world tour in support of his recent album, Everything I Thought It Was, his first record in six years. The album, which was released in March, has been critically panned, with a two-star review in The Independent calling it 'about as sexy as a soiled mattress'. Last year in June, the former NSYNC star was mired in scandal after he was arrested for driving through a stop sign. He had been partying at the American Hotel and told police he was following his friends home, TMZ reported at the time. Police said that Timberlake 'performed poorly on all standardised field sobriety tests' and repeatedly refused to take a breathalyser, adding that he had glassy eyes and smelled of alcohol. 'He was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot.' He issued an apology following his guilty plea to one count of driving while impaired, saying: 'Many of you have probably been covering me for a lot of my life and as you may know I try to hold myself to a very high standard for myself, and this was not that. 'I found myself in a position where I could have made a different decision, but I've had some time to reflect on that and I also understand by the fact that all of you are here that I have a platform, you have a platform, we share that. 'So what I'd like to say to everyone watching and listening... even if you've had one drink – don't get behind the wheel of a car. There's so many alternatives, call a friend, get an Uber.'
