Justin Timberlake at BottleRock Napa Valley marks a major comeback after a tumultuous year
Justin Timberlake closed the final date of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour on a high note during his BottleRock Napa Valley debut.
His triumphant headlining set on Saturday, May 24, marked the second day of the Wine Country festival and the end of a year-long global tour in support of his 2024 album 'Everything I Thought It Was.' Over the course of two hours, the Memphis-born pop star offered a dynamic blend of new and classic hits, displaying his trademark energy, impeccable choreography and smooth falsetto vocals.
Backed by his band, the Tennessee Kids, and five backup dancers, Timberlake orchestrated a vibrant, high-octane show that captivated the sold-out festival crowd. Songs like 'Mirrors,' 'My Love' and 'Can't Stop the Feeling' fueled the euphoric atmosphere, while an electric brass section and agile dancers added visual flair.
The show came after a particularly tumultuous period for Timberlake, including several canceled concerts earlier in the year due to health issues, as well as a DUI arrest last June.
But any lingering controversy seemed to dissipate in Napa. Timberlake spoke to the crowd with equal measures of sincerity and whimsy.
'I wish you all a healthy weekend with as little tannins as possible,' he quipped, describing the bitter compounds in wine.
He also cheekily wore a T-shirt bearing a vintage pin-up shot of his wife, actress Jessica Biel, that, on first glance, many in the audience assumed depicted his ex, Britney Spears, following her recent headline-grabbing exploits.
While his latest album received mixed reviews, the live setting breathed new life into tracks like 'Selfish' and 'Play,' which were well-received by the crowd. Older hits such as 'Cry Me A River' and 'SexyBack' stirred a rush of nostalgia that earned cheers at every turn.
Timberlake, who has evolved into a polished and versatile performer over his 30-year career, demonstrated his enduring appeal and growth as an artist. The night was a reminder of his musical and cultural influence, leaving fans excited for what comes next.
'I know I'll see you again someday,' Timberlake assured fans.
He capped off an action-packed day at BottleRock, which also featured a high-energy set by up-and-coming pop sensation Benson Boone, a surprisingly solid performance by actor-turned-singer Kate Hudson, and a highly anticipated reunion performance by 4 Non Blondes, who marked their first appearance in 30 years. Their rendition of 'What's Up?' sparked one of the loudest singalongs in BottleRock history.
Elsewhere, the Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage was alive with cooking demonstrations from stars like Red Hot Chili Peppers' Anthony Kiedis, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale and 'Modern Family' star Adam Devine, along with a parade of 'Top Chef' stars including Kristen KishBrooke Williamson and brothers Michael and Bryan Voltaggio.

Shaboozey Hits The Road This Fall For The Great American Roadshow Tour
Shaboozey is taking his vocals and vibes on the road this fall. The 29-year-old singer announced his forthcoming tour titled The Great American Roadshow. The month-long trek begins in Indianapolis toward the end of September and will hit major cities such as Detroit, Philadelphia, New Orleans, and Houston before finishing up in Orlando on Oct. 16. Diddy ‘should definitely walk' amid sex trafficking trial, Suge Knight says
NEW YORK — Suge Knight says former rival hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs 'should definitely walk' three weeks into his federal trial for sex trafficking and racketeering charges. The Death Row records founder, real name Marion Knight, appeared on NewsNation Tuesday to weigh in on the trial and the testimony of the Bad Boy founder's former assistant, Capricorn Clark. Hours earlier, Clark alleged that Harlem-born Combs, 55, kidnapped her in 2011 while armed, so she would help 'kill [Kid] Cudi.' 'I say this all the time: Puffy and I definitely not friends, but Puffy should definitely walk,' said 60-year-old Knight, who is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for manslaughter, related to a 2015 hit-and-run in his native Compton. 'It was other executives that was involved in Puffy's life. And for Puffy to be the only guy that gets on the stand is a sad day for hip-hop.' Clark on Tuesday testified that, prior to joining Bad Boy in 2004, she signed with Death Row Records. She identified Knight as 'the father of my best friend's children.' Combs, she said, calmly 'told me he didn't know that I had anything to do with Suge Knight and if anything happened he would have to kill me.' 'When it's all said and done, how [come] every person who was involved with Puffy is not on the stand? It's just Puffy. So, at some point, the law gotta be blind,' said Knight, whose legal issues date back to 1992. 'Death Row and the employees at Bad Boy were really good friends, a lot of them.' He said Death Row security chief Reggie Wright Jr. was in charge of security for Combs and Biggie Smalls the night the latter was fatally shot. 'So I can't see that they would look at Capricorn's affiliation with Death Row that bad and that type of threats,' said Knight. 'We just can't jump to conclusions and throw Puffy under the bus. Like I said, him and I are not friends, but Puffy definitely should walk. What's right is right, wrong is wrong.' Combs, who is also the subject of dozens of troubling lawsuits, faces life in prison. The trial is expected to go on until July.

Cassie welcomes third child 2 weeks after Diddy trial testimony
Cassie Ventura has welcomed her third child on the heels of testifying as the star witness against Sean 'Diddy' Combs at his federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial. The 'Me & U' singer, 38, and husband Alex Fine welcomed their youngest on Tuesday, the same day Ventura was seen checking into the labor-and-delivery unit at a New York hospital, TMZ reports. Insiders previously told the outlet that Ventura might be contending with complications. Ventura — who was in a contentious, on-off relationship with the Bad Boy Records founder, 55, from 2007 to 2018 — married trainer Fine in 2019. The couple shares daughters Frankie, 5, and Sunny, 4. They announced in February that they were expecting a third child. Ventura's November 2023 blockbuster lawsuit accusing the Harlem-born Combs of rape, sex trafficking and longstanding abuse effectively served as the canary in the coal mine as dozens of similarly disturbing lawsuits have since been filed including the federal charges for which he is currently standing trial. Combs was arrested this past September and faces life in prison if convicted. His trial, which began earlier this month, is expected to span eight weeks.
