(Image via X/@WWE) After Nights of Champion and Evolution 2 PLE, WWE is back with another edition of SummerSlam Premium Live Event for the year 2025, adding much excitement and thrill amongst the fans and in the WWE Universe. Following WrestleMania 41, this will be the only event hosted for two consecutive days. According to WWE, SummerSlam PLE 2025 is scheduled to take place on August 2-3, 2025. The 38th edition of the show will emanate live from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Backstage reports on SummerSlam PLE 2025 As the SummerSlam 2025 PLE is just a few weeks away from happening, backstage reports have emerged recentl related to the much anticipated event. According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the two-night WWE SummerSlam premium live event (PLE) was initially set to feature John Cena facing Cody Rhodes as the main event for night two, with discussions about an undecided stipulation at that time. The report further stated that Gunther was scheduled to compete against CM Punk on night one, which would have concluded with Seth Rollins cashing in his Money in the Bank contract. But, following Seth Rollins' injury at the Saturday Night's Main Event (SNME), his appearance in the event remains questionable. In addition to this, the announced matches from the planned lineup till now only include the Women's World Championship Match, Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena, Gunther vs. CM Punk, Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill, Randy Orton and Jelly Roll vs. Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul, Solo Sikoa vs. Jacob Fatu for the United States Championship in a Steel Cage Match, and Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria replacing Bayley. The events witnessed several high-octane matches and feuds, leaving fans completely baffled and awestruck by the intensified performances, especially at the all-women's Premium Live Event (PLE). Ahead of the highly anticipated WWE Evolution 2 event, many fans were convinced Saraya would make a surprise return. However, Saraya was not seen during the premium live event, which has made her fans disappointed and upset. Saraya has now addressed her not appearing at Evolution 2. Saraya apologizes to her fans for not appearing on WWE Evolution Former WWE star who was supposed to make an appearance at the recently held WWE Evolution PLE has not appeared at the event, and this has made her fans very upset. However, due to her absence, the WWE star has issued a heartfelt apology to her supporters after failing to appear at WWE Evolution 2 , a landmark all-women's premium live event. Her absence left many fans disappointed, especially after a viral post on social media that falsely claimed that she was en route to the show. Earlier, a tweet went viral that had a caption, 'She's on the flight. Saraya is coming to Evolution 2!' Upon hearing this, fans flooded the comments with speculation, GIFs, and emotional tributes. However, as the event progressed and Saraya failed to appear, the mood quickly shifted. Her fans expressed confusion, while others joked about being misled, with one popular post humorously stating, 'That flight must've gone to Hawaii instead. ' Owing to this situation, Saraya has issued an apology to her fans. She responded by saying she was sorry and admitted that seeing all the love from fans made her very emotional, as she said, 'I'm sorryyyyy! Although seeing all the love made me very emotional.' Previously, during an interview, Saraya hinted at her appearance at Evolution 2. She said, 'Yeah, I could pop up in WWE tomorrow. I know Evolution's going to pop up soon. (Image via WWE) WWE officials are discussing to bringing on board a WWE Hall of Famer for a high-profile return at the upcoming Evolution 2 pay-per-view event. Reportedly, the company is planning for Trish Stratus' return to WWE for the upcoming Evolution 2 all-women's premium live event slated for July 13, 2025, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Reports suggest that the interest in Stratus has likely grown following Liv Morgan's recent shoulder injury, which has prompted several adjustments to the event's planned lineup. However, WWE has not officially confirmed the news yet, but it seems the plan to bring back the WWE star is currently underway. It is to be noted that WWE has announced plans to revive its historic all-women's event, Evolution, on July 13, 2025, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The Premium Live Event will showcase female superstars from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT, with potential appearances from legendary figures. WWE is planning to bring Trish Stratus to Evolution 2 PLE Speculations are doing the rounds that WWE is reportedly planning to bring Trish Stratus to the upcoming Evolution 2 event, which is scheduled to start on July 13, 2025. According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE officials expressed interest during Night of Champions weekend in having Trish Stratus appear — and possibly compete — at the all-women's event. While nothing was confirmed at that time, creative pitches are reportedly being discussed in case she agrees to participate. As of the writing of this report, nothing has been confirmed by the company, but it has come to light that multiple creative options are being discussed, and it is expected to make progress on those plans over the next week. Stratus last competed in a high-profile storyline feud with Becky Lynch in 2023. It is to be noted that Trish Stratus was one of the legends who laced up their boots at the first Evolution PLE back in 2018, where she and Lita defeated Mickie James and Alicia Fox. As of now, the only confirmed match for Evolution is Jacy Jayne defending her NXT Women's Championship against Jordynne Grace, with the full PLE line-up still developing and taking shape.
