In a statement he said: 'Shocked, horrified and deeply saddened about what happened at the end of the parade. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone and their families who have been impacted. 'Our anthem has never felt more appropriate, You'll Never Walk Alone. Your Liverpool family are behind you.' Ex-manager Klopp, who won the title in 2020, flew from Germany for Monday's parade. Everton FC also rescheduled a book signing with former star Duncan Ferguson, due to take place yesterday, as a mark of respect. Scouse comedian John Bishop, who attended the parade with his elderly father, posted afterwards: 'Like everyone else, I am shocked and heartbroken about the events at the end of the Liverpool parade. A 53-year-old British man from the Liverpool area has since been arrested. Liverpool City Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram says there are four injured people in hospital that are "very, very ill". Liverpool have decided to postpone some planned events on Tuesday to celebrate their Premier League title win following the terrifying incident at the parade on Monday Liverpool have told staff that planned events to celebrate their Premier League title win will no longer go ahead on Tuesday. The Reds had wanted to continue the celebrations internally with staff following a long season but have been shocked by the crash which overshadowed Monday's parade. Twenty-seven people were injured when a car ploughed into supporters on Water Street in the city centre on Monday evening. Police confirmed that a 53-year-old white British man had been arrested at the scene and the incident was not been treated as terrorism ‌ Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live on Tuesday morning, Liverpool City Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram said there were "still four people who are very, very ill in hospital". He added: "We are hoping of course that they pull through." ‌ In a statement on Monday evening, Liverpool wrote: "We are in direct contact with Merseyside Police regarding the incident on Water Street which happened towards the end of the trophy parade earlier this evening. "Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this serious incident. We will continue to offer our full support to the emergency services and local authorities who are dealing with this incident." And in an email seen by BBC News, the club told staff that internal events planned for Tuesday had been postponed. The email said the club 'will continue to offer our full support to the emergency services and local authorities' and encouraged staff 'to come together at this time to support each other'. Liverpool Mayor Rotheram said in a statement on Monday morning: "There is still a police presence here and a tent up at the scene and the police will continue to carry out their investigations until they are satisfied that they have collected all the evidence and that they can open Water Street and the surrounding. "Yesterday is a complete contrast to the scene now, there is hardly anybody on the streets and yesterday there was up to one million people perhaps on these streets all with one thing in mind to show the football team that they love the admiration, the euphoria at winning the Premier League and watch their heroes go by and that's what happened to the large extent." Twenty-seven people were injured when a car ploughed into supporters on Water Street in the city centre on Monday evening. Merseyside Police Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims said a 53-year-old white British man had been arrested at the scene and the incident was not been treated as terrorism. Four people, including a child, were pulled from beneath the vehicle after it was driven into the crowd. ‌ David Kitchin of the North West Ambulance Service said: "We can confirm that our teams treated 20 patients at the scene for minor injuries, and these did not need hospital treatment. Twenty-seven patients in total were taken to hospital by ambulance, and we believe two of those, including one of the children, have sustained serious injuries." ‌ The incident has left the city reeling and prompted some heartfelt words from former Liverpool player and manager Dalglish, who said: 'Shocked, horrified and deeply saddened about what happened at the end of the parade today. 'Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone and their families who have been impacted by today's tragic event. Our anthem has never felt more appropriate, You'll Never Walk Alone.
