Dauphin County Commissioner Justin Douglas considers campaign for Congress Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District
DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Dauphin County Commissioner Justin Douglas announced he is considering a campaign for Congress in Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District.
Douglas announced on Monday the formation of an Exploratory Committee to consider a campaign for Congress. He said that the committee will test the waters for a potential run by assessing the resources and support available.
Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District seat, which represents Dauphin County and parts of Cumberland and York counties, is currently held by Republican Scott Perry.
'From day one as Commissioner, I've made it my mission to fight fraud, waste, abuse, and corruption, no matter where it hides or who it implicates,' Douglas said. 'That fight belongs in Washington too, where public trust has been eroded for far too long. I'm exploring this campaign because our communities deserve leaders who answer to the people, not to special interests.'
The former pastor and current Chairman of the Dauphin County Board of Commissioners says he has led efforts to reduce waste, expose corruption, and promote transparency in government operations during his time as County Commissioner.
'Folks in PA-10 are ready for a leader who puts the people ahead of party politics,' Douglas said. 'They want someone who will uphold the Constitution, fight for their families, and bring integrity back to public office. Scott Perry has lost the trust of this district, and regardless of the outcome of this Exploratory Committee, one thing is certain, it's time for him to go.'
