1 2 Ranchi: Amid the mourning and grief following the demise of his father , Shibu Soren, chief minister Hemant Soren is juggling between fulfilling family duties and government responsibilities. Even when the "Dishom Guru" was battling ailments at a Delhi hospital since June this year, Hemant ensured that the governance wasn't neglected amid his family duties. After performing the rituals in the run up to his father's dashkarm (shradh ceremony), Hemant sat with his senior bureaucrats, including additional chief secretary to CM Avinash Kumar, at his native home in Nemra to take stock of the administrative issues formally on Friday. Shibu, who died on August 4 at a Delhi hospital, was cremated in Nemra on August 6. "He (Hemant) also signed several crucial files," a statement from the CMO said. An official in the CMO said the CM was fully alert and sensitive towards state duties even during the phase of mourning. "The CM is taking all necessary updates about the developments. Long live the brave martyr Nirmal Mahto! Long live the brave heroes of Jharkhand! I will ensure that the sacrifices of the sons of the soil don't go to waste. " Later in the day, Hemant also visited agricultural fields in Nemra to take stock of the ongoing sowing activities and interacted with village women who were engaged in Kharif crop sowing.
