RCMP investigating potential explosive device at Spruce Grove detachment

RCMP say they are investigating a potential explosive device that was surrendered at the Parkland detachment in Spruce Grove, Alta.
A news release sent out late Thursday afternoon said the front parking lot of the detachment is evacuated and the detachment is currently closed to the public while officers investigate the device.
Officers from the Alberta RCMP Explosives Disposal Unit are being deployed to secure the device and ensure there is no ongoing risk to the public or police.
