During the 2025 World Championship of Legends (WCL) final at Edgbaston, WCL co‑owner Harshit Tomar stunned viewers and Karishma on live television. Shortly after South Africa clinched victory over Pakistan, Harshit was being interviewed by the anchor, and, right at the end of the segment, he spontaneously revealed his plans to propose to her.
Kotak appeared visibly taken aback, exclaiming, 'Oh God," before collecting herself and wrapping up the interview. The moment rapidly went viral on social media, leaving viewers more curious about her.

Early Life & Modelling Career
Born on May 26, 1982, in London, Karishma began modelling in the UK at just 16. With her striking looks and confident screen presence, she became a popular face in the modelling world.
She truly skyrocketed to fame in India in 2006 through the prestigious Kingfisher Calendar 2006, where she starred alongside Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone. In just months, she featured in major campaigns for brands like Dove, Pond's, Wella, Titan Xylus, Tanishq, and others.
TV & Sports Presenting
She then carved a niche as a sports host, most notably known for the Indian Premier League (IPL) Extraaa Innings T20 in 2013, the 2019 Cricket World Cup, and Global T20 Canada, 2023.
During an interaction with ETimes, Karishma cited Mandira Bedi as her inspiration for entering cricket broadcasting and emphasised her love for live sports presenting over acting roles. 'Mandira truly paved the way, and I have immense respect for what she brought to the space. I never planned to be a sports presenter; it just sort of found me! But I think when passion meets preparation, the universe aligns. I've always loved cricket, and once I stepped into the field, quite literally, it just felt like home. So no, I didn't imagine it, but now that I'm here, it feels like the most natural progression," she shared.
Acting & Reality TV
Not many know that Karishma Kotak has appeared in various Telugu films. She has shared the screen space with superstar Chiranjeevi in Shankar Dada Zindabad (2007). Later, she worked with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Freaky Ali (2016) and popular actor Gippy Grewal in Kaptaan (2016). Karishma has also participated in Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss Season 6 in 2012.
