MBTA warns of delays as extreme heat descends on the area

On extreme heat days, the MBTA
Crews will be available to perform track inspections, make emergency repairs, check on air conditioning in vehicles, and make adjustments to prevent low-hanging wires, which may sag in extreme heat, the MBTA said on its website.

Riders can report a hot
bus or train car either directly to an operator, by sending an X post to @MBTA, or by contacting customer support at 617-222-3200 with the vehicle number.
