Airbus and Holywell up for the cup with silverware at stake

The Wingmakers have home advantage as they tackle fellow Cymru North high-flyers Holywell Town in the final of the North East Wales FA Challenge Cup. Since just missing out on the league title, Mark Allen's side have gone on to win the Cymru North Cup and Cymru Cup over recent weeks. Airbus booked their spot in the final with a thrilling penalty shootout success versus Corwen in the last-four and Allen told the club's website: 'Last time out I was very pleased with those involved in the second half and the way they kept going in the game and got us back into it.' It has been a mixed campaign for Holywell, whose defence of their Cymru North title saw them conclude the season in third position. Boss Johnny Haseldin said: 'We have experienced the highs and lows as well, and we know which side we want to be on the end of on Saturday.' A feast of football is in store over the course of the weekend with a number of other North East Wales FA finals lined up. It all begins this evening with Rhostyllen meeting FC Queen's Park in the Horace Wynne Cup final.
