Hamza Igamane has been told he can go as far as he wants in the game by the coach who helped bring him to Rangers. Rangers coach Issame Charai (left) and striker Hamza Igamane. "His first national selection was with me," explained the Rangers coach. "I went to see many of his games playing for FAR Rabat, which is actually a big team in Morocco. He was only 19 or 20 at that point but his potential was immediately clear. 'At that time I had many good strikers. But when he came and he trained with us, I saw that his finishing quality was quite high. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'He needed to work a bit on his physicality. But that was normal because he actually started quite late as a football player. "He used to play in the streets. And then I think he started only at the age of 16. It was only then that he began playing organised football. It's amazing to think that just four years later he was in the first team. So it's a nice story. 'When I brought him into the national team youth set-up, you could see that a lot of things were intuitive. He knows when he gets the ball, he makes a decision, a quick decision on what to do. So that was quite nice to see. 'Sometimes he does things and you think, what did he just do? That's natural ability. That's something that obviously now in organised football, he made a lot of steps." Charai reckons this uniqueness can help him to the top. 'Hamza can go as far as he wants," he added. "I think he has all the potential. 'Obviously, it's his first year. So he still has a lot of things to improve. But I see his potential going very far. 'What does he need to work on? Obviously, I think it's tactically that he has to improve. To be more adaptable at playing different positions. To know when to go deep, to know when to hit the box. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'Sometimes he always wants the ball into his feet. Sometimes he has to ask the ball a little bit more in space. So to find that variation, because he's a menace for all the defenders. 'So he has to use that quality that he has. So I'd say tactically he can improve.

FAR Rabat file complaint over ticket allocation after 4-1 defeat to Pyramids FC - Africa

Morocco's FAR Rabat filed an official complaint with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) against Egypt's Pyramids FC for violating tournament regulations by limiting ticket access to away supporters during their CAF Champions League quarterfinal match on Tuesday. The dispute comes after Pyramids claimed a commanding 4-1 first-leg victory at home. Congolese striker Fiston Mayele and winger Ibrahim Adel scored twice to give the Egyptian side a strong advantage ahead of the return leg in Casablanca on 8 April. In a statement published on the club's official Facebook page, FAR Rabat said Pyramids had allocated only 100 tickets to their traveling supporters — far below the CAF-mandated minimum of 5 percent of total stadium capacity, which the Moroccan side says should have amounted to at least 1,500 seats. FAR added that, following the 31 March technical meeting, they raised the issue with CAF and Pyramids management. While CAF reportedly issued a directive requesting that Pyramids increase the allocation to avoid potential security concerns, the Egyptian club only added another 100 tickets, leaving 'hundreds of Moroccan fans' outside the stadium, read the statement. 'These unacceptable practices… reflect a lack of respect for the rules and for the supporters who traveled from Morocco to support their team,' the club said, warning of 'serious security risks' and calling for measures to prevent recurrence of similar incidents. The club emphasized defending the rights of their fans, adding that 'football is a joy for everyone, and all supporters should be able to cheer their teams in a fair and safe atmosphere.' Pyramids FC have not issued a public response to the complaint, and CAF has yet to comment on the matter. Mayele, Adel star as Pyramids FC thrash FAR Rabat in CAF Champions League quarters - Egyptian Football

Two braces from Congolese striker Fiston Mayele and skilled winger Ibrahim Adel secured a vital 4-1 win for Pyramids FC over Morocco's FAR Rabat in the CAF Champions League quarterfinals on Tuesday, giving the Egyptian outfit a significant stride toward securing a semi-final berth. Mayele netted both of his goals in the opening 15 minutes, with Adel contributing the third in the 38th minute before adding a second in the 67th minute to extend the lead, while FAR Rabat managed a consolation goal through Abdelfattah Hadraf, who fired in a left-footed finish in the final minute of the first half. Head coach Krunoslav Jurcic deployed an attacking lineup that saw Mostafa Fathy, Ibrahim Adel, and Fiston Mayele leading the line, with Blati Toure and Ramadan Sobhi providing support from midfield. The Sky Blues relentlessly pressed forward, aiming for a comfortable lead heading into the return leg. Moments after kickoff, forward Mostafa Fathy capitalized on a defensive error by Larbi Naji, intercepting the ball and delivering a precise cross to set up Mayele, who slotted the ball home with a close-range right-footed shot. Ten minutes later, Mayele doubled the lead following a brilliant assist from Adel, who had brilliantly supplied from the right flank. Despite relying on a well-organized defense, FAR Rabat's counterattacks were thwarted by a lack of composure in the final third. In the 38th minute, Ibrahim Adel received a well-placed cross from Ramadan Sobhi on the left side and unleashed a powerful right-footed shot into the center of the net, bringing the score to 3-0. However, the Moroccan side pulled a goal back just before halftime when Hadraf connected with Youssef El-Fahli's cross, sending a left-footed shot into the bottom left corner, ending the first half at 3-1. In the second half, Pyramids FC continued their relentless pursuit of goals, leading to a fourth from star winger Ibrahim Adel. The 23-year-old Egyptian international collected a well-placed cross from Ivorian midfielder Blati Toure on the left flank and buried a close-range right-footed shot into the bottom left corner. FAR Rabat attempted to reduce the deficit but failed to make an impact as Pyramids FC maintained control of the game. The return leg is scheduled for 8 April at Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, with the winner advancing to face either MC Alger or Orlando Pirates in the semifinals.
