Legendary carmaker urgently recalls over 312,000 motors amid fears brakes will FAIL while driving & cause a crash
A WELL-KNOWN car brand has urgently recalled over 300,000 vehicles over braking issues.
Stopping distance is potentiall extended on these motors as a result of the fault, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford is recalling a total of 312,120 vehicles across the US in response to the issue.
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration spoke about the potential risk created by the braking failure.
According to the safety authority, a loss of power brake assist while driving can extend stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash,
The recall affects certain 2025 Lincoln Navigator, F-150, Expedition, Bronco, and Ranger vehicles.

The Electronic Brake Booster (EBB) module was flagged as potentially failing while driving.
This error could also occur when using the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) feature, causing a loss of power brake assist.
In response, the EBB module software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge, the NHTSA said.
The recall notice was issued on Friday, August 1.

And some of these Ford models have reported other issues in recent months.
The F-150 (2025) reported problems with steering in May with inspections and fastener replacements offered for free.

Meanwhile, the Expeditiona & Lincoln Navigator ( 2024-25) was part of a recall notice in the same month.
Engine oil plug misalignment on vehicles with 3.5 L GTDI engines was said to lead to a potential leak issue.

The 2024-25 Bronco models also reported some issues, including a front lower control arm issue, a rear seat child‑safety lock, a passenger‑side airbag vent flap defect, and a trailer‑brake controller software bug.
Rear shock absorber external reservoir corrosion was also a problem associated with these models.
Meanwhile the 2025 Ranger reported missing or loose driver's seat bolts.
