Facing Hunger Foodbank will have drive-thru food distribution on Friday
Jun. 4—Facing Hunger Foodbank is making a difference in the lives of the communities they serve by hosting a drive-thru mobile food distribution in Ironton, at the Juvenile Center, 4676 Ohio 93, on Friday. Members of Facing Hunger Foodbank and volunteers will distribute food beginning at 11 a.m and will continue until noonor until the product is gone. Facing Hunger looks to serve over 150 households, on a first come, first served basis. 19% of Lawrence County's population lives with food insecurity, including 24% of the county's children. Cash Explosion Show coming to Youngstown
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Cash Explosion Show is coming to Youngstown. The live show will be at the Covelli Centre on June 14, according to the Ohio Lottery. Eight pre-selected contestants and eight contestants drawn live from the audience will play for a $250,000 top prize on Cash Explosion LIVE. In addition, Cash Explosion will give away $25,000 in cash prizes to audience members throughout the show taping. The doors will open at noon, and the show taping is set to begin at 2 p.m. Admission to the show is free, but seating will be first come, first served. All current non-winning Cash Explosion ENTRY tickets are valid for the live drawing. Participants should bring their tickets to the show with their name and phone number written on the back of the ticket to be eligible for the live drawing. The show will also kick off its annual Facing Hunger campaign with a food drive benefitting Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.
