Hezbollah MP Slams Lebanese Ministers: Implementation of Gov't Obligations Can't Be Selective
Member of Hezbollah's Loyalty to Resistance MP Hasan Fadlallah slammed some ministers in the Lebanese government, noting that their remarks contradict with the ministerial statement. In an address during a local ceremony in the southern town of Zawtar Al-Sharqiya, MP Fadlallah said 'some positions we hear from members of the government aimed at evading the responsibilities they have committed to before the Lebanese people.' In this context, MP Fadlallah stressed that such responsibilities 'are the commitments on the basis of which the Lebanese government won the Parliament's confidence. 'Some of the government's members act as if the implementation of these obligations is a selective process based on what they desire, or on what is imposed on them by foreign powers' external dictates.' He explained that the ministerial statement stipulated that the Government is committed to reconstruction, defending the border and its people as well as taking all measures in order to liberate the land. 'Has the government implemented its commitments regarding reconstruction and the other two issues?' MP Fadlallah wondered. The Hezbollah lawmaker, meanwhile, called on these ministers to 'implement their commitments first.' 'We have nothing more to give, to anyone, in any way, whether in South Lebanon, or in any region. We have fulfilled our obligations at all levels.' 'The current government is obligated, according to the Constitution and legal text, to implement the provisions of the ministerial statement. We have nothing else to say. When they implement these provisions, we will talk about other matters.' Fadlallah remarks come as the Israeli enemy goes ahead with attacks on Lebanon, in violation of the ceasefire that ended the 66-day Israeli war. A Lebanese citizen was martyred at dawn on Saturday in an Israeli drone strike on his vehicle in the southern town of Deir Al-Zahrani.

MP says Hezbollah has 'nothing to offer' before govt. honors 'commitments'
by Naharnet Newsdesk 31 May 2025, 11:41 Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah on Saturday said 'the stances we're hearing from some of the government components do not only contravene the Ministerial Statement, but are against it and its total opposite.' These stances 'evade the responsibilities that were pledged to the Lebanese people,' Fadlallah added. He noted that the first three clauses of the Ministerial Statement talk about post-war reconstruction, deterring Israel and taking steps to liberate Israeli-occupied Lebanese territory. 'But what have they done regarding these three clauses? Has the government implemented what it had committed itself to in the reconstruction file? There are five or six clauses that should be implemented before tackling the issue of defending Lebanon, which requires a national security strategy,' Fadlallah added, referring to the thorny issue of Hezbollah's arms. 'Let no one ask us to implement the Ministerial Statement in a reversed manner, in a way putting the cart before the horse. Implement your obligations first and then request things from us, because we no longer have anything to offer to anyone in any form, neither in south Lebanon, nor outside south Lebanon, nor in any region, because we have offered what we have and we've implemented what we had committed ourselves to on all levels,' the lawmaker went on to say. 'According to the constitutional and legal texts, the incumbent government is obliged to implement the stipulations of this Ministerial Statement, and we have no other words about anything else. When they implement these clauses we would talk about the other things,' Fadlallah added.

MP Fadlallah: Hezbollah Military Formulas Remain Active, Governmental Failure in Reconstruction Pushes Lebanon to Instability
Member of Loyalty to Resistance bloc Dr. Hasan Fadlallah recalled the anniversary of the liberation of the Lebanese territories from the Israeli occupation in 2000, highlighting the great role of the Master of the Umma's Martyrs Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and the military commanders of the resistance in addition to the people who made all the sacrifices in order to reach the achievements. In this regard, Sayyed Fadlallah underlined the mercy of the Resistance in dealing with the members of Lahd treacherous militia, adding that Sayyed Nasrallah wanted to reassure all the Lebanese sects at that time. MP Fadlallah added that Lebanon is still enjoying the bless of the liberation, adding that the military formulas maintained by Hezbollah are still active. Regarding the Israeli violations, Sayyed Fadlallah reiterated that the Lebanese government is responsible for facing the Zionist enemy in coordination with the ceasefire monitor committee. When necessary, the Resistance will take the suitable decision in this regard, MP fadlallah added. Sayyed Fadlallah indicated that file of the prisoners is following a certain path that may not be directly handled by the government, without giving further details. Commenting on BBC report which shows its reporter with the UN troops in South Lebanon without any coordination with the Lebanese state, MP Fadlallah stressed that the Lebanese Army is tasked to address any problem caused by the UNIFIL troops. Lebanese Politics MP Fadlallah stressed that Hezbollah is not concerned with responding to every negative statement made against it, indicating that PM Nawaf Salam's negative remarks show that he has not adapted with the requirements of his post. 'None can distort the history about the Resistance role in liberating the Lebanese territories from the Israeli occupation.' Loyalty to Resistance bloc's meeting with President Joseph Aoun was positive, according to Sayyed Fadlallah who added that the president knows the Lebanese parties who are moving against his will to maintain stability in the country. Commenting on the remarks of the FM Youssef Rajji, who is affiliated with the Lebanese Forces, MP Fadlallah underscored that some Lebanese parties moved their barricades from the civil war to the council of ministers. The Lebanese government is not assuming its responsibilities regarding the Israeli withdrawal and halt of attacks as well as the reconstruction project, according to Hezbollah lawmaker. The governmental reluctance to carry out the reconstruction project will cause instability, MP Fadlallah said, adding that Hezbollah has managed to provide the needed funds for housing and reconstructing the damaged houses of 400 thousand families despite the pressures and siege. MP Fadlallah affirmed that the political and administrative reform in Lebanon must be maintained, calling for observing all the laws passed by the parliament in this regard.
