The De Klerks have announced on their social media pages at the weekend that they are expecting baby #2 in a cute video with their one-year-old daughter, Remi-Ré. Miné and Faf tied the knot in October 2022 at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek after being together for almost six years. In January 2024, they revealed to the public that they were expecting their first child. Later in February, baby Remi-Ré de Klerk was joyfully welcomed into the world. Early this year, Miné and Faf shared cute pictures of her first berry-themed birthday party. They captioned their joint Instagram post: 'Remi-Ré's Berry First Birthday. We love you precious baby girl.' The De Klerks are not the only rugby couple that announced that they are expecting. Just two weeks ago, Eben and Anlia Etzebeth also revealed that they are expecting their second child and also confirmed that it is a girl.

One of them is Bollywood actor Preity Zinta, who co-owns Punjab Kings. From cheering for her team from stands to interacting with players from both sides and giving jerseys to the fans, Preity always makes sure to light up the stadium with her constant support, vibrant energy and 'dimpled smile'. Infact, many a times, several players have expressed their admiration for Preity. And now it seems like South African batter Faf du Plessis is also a fan of the 'Veer Zaara' actress. After the conclusion of the match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings on Saturday, a picture featuring Faf and Preity went viral on social media. One of the users on X posted the image, tagging both Faf and Preity. The user quipped that both should be featured in a movie already, noting Faf's 'action hero vibe' and how the actress is 'ageing like fine wine'. If this suggestion wasn't enough, the user went on to suggest 'sports drama' or 'royal romance' as genres for the film. The 40 year old batter seemed to take the post in good sport, replying, 'Make it happen' along with a laughing emoji and a camera, clapper board emoji. He also led the team in final two matches with regular captain Axar Patel missing out due to injury. Virat Kohli secretly plots Faf du Plessis' dismissal, signals for a catch; then grabs it himself in very next over
For long, Virat Kohli shared the dressing room with Faf du Plessis during the latter's time with Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Kohli opened the innings alongside Faf during their time together at RCB, and justifiably knows the South African's batting approach. And so, when Faf – now with Delhi Capitals – returned to face his former franchise RCB during Sunday night's match in Delhi, Kohli didn't shy from sharing some insider tips for the bowlers to plan Faf's wicket. Kohli was captured on broadcast cameras gesturing towards the bowler that Faf is unlikely to play the sweep shot, and also made a catching gesture. Interestingly, in the very next over, Kohli grabbed the catch at long-on to help dismiss Faf. Faf returned to the DC XI after missing a few matches for the side due to an illness. However, the South African looked far from threatening throughout his stay at the crease, scoring at a strike rate of less than 100 throughout the Powerplay. Faf struggled to get going throughout his innings and was eventually dismissed by Krunal Pandya for just 22 off 26 deliveries. However, Abhishek Porel gave DC an electrifying start, racing to 26 off merely 11 balls before being dismissed by Josh Hazlewood. The Australian, relentless with his hard lengths, took three balls to get the breakthrough as he cramped Porel to have him caught behind down the leg side. Karun Nair, who began with a short arm pull off Hazlewood for a boundary, played an ordinary shot off Yash Dayal in the following over, and his mishit was pouched at mid-wicket. The spinners came into operation after the powerplay, and overs 7-10 were the phase when RCB were able to stem the flow of runs. They conceded just 20 runs off the four overs from Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya, who got rid of du Plessis in that period. IPL 2025: Faf's fifty and Starc's five-fer sets up 7-wicket win for DC against SRH
Visakhapatnam: Faf du Plessis's fiery fifty and Mitchell Starc's scorching five-wicket haul assisted Delhi Capitals in silencing Sunrisers Hyderabad with a seven-wicket victory on Sunday in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. In pursuit of 164, Faf du Plessis and Jake Fraser McGurk adopted a cautious approach in the first over, negating the threat posed by Mohammed Shami. McGurk broke the shackles and dispatched the ball with a slog sweep over long-on for a maximum of Abhishek Sharma in the second over. DC had sniffed blood, and the explosive duo set out on a hunt of the Sunrisers' bowling unit to make the most out of the powerplay. Faf took the brunt of clobbering Shami for runs and thrived with his textbook perfect stroke play. The seasoned South African clubbed the first ball of the third over for a six. He topped it up with two boundaries on the trot to take 15 runs from the over. The onslaught continued to come in patches as DC garnered 52 runs from the powerplay. Faf didn't drop the tempo and hammered Hyderabad skipper Pat Cummins for a six and a four right after the powerplay. Faf (50) sprinted for a single and celebrated his fifty, only to lose his wicket moments later in the next over to Zeeshan Ansari. Despite losing a wicket against the run of play, McGurk hammered a barrage of boundaries to end the over on a high note. After misreading Ansari's googly, he found his first boundary with an inside edge, a delivery after Faf's dismissal. On the next ball, he carved it through the backward point to find the boundary rope. He followed it up by smoking the ball past the boundary rope over long-off. Mitchell Starc continued his fine run against SRH, removing two of its explosive young guns, Ishan Kishan (2) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (0) in the third over. SRH sunk to 25/3 in 2.3 overs. Travis Head, looking to counterattack, was bowled by Starc for 22 off 12 balls, marking the seventh time the pacer has dismissed him. With his departure, SRH was down to 37/4 in 4.1 overs.
