HM gives audience to Kuwait's First Deputy PM
MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience at Al Barakah Palace on Tuesday to Shaikh Fahad Yousef Saud al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in the State of Kuwait. During the audience, the guest conveyed a verbal message to His Majesty the Sultan from Shaikh Mishal Al Ahmed Al Jaber al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait. HM gives audience to Kuwait's First Deputy PM The message dealt with means of enhancing the distinguished relations between the two countries to serve their joint interests. The audience also reviewed areas of military and security cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Kuwait and means of promoting them in a manner that maintains stability and security in both countries and the wider region. Sayyid Shihab receives Kuwaiti official
MUSCAT: HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs received in his office at Muaskar Al Murtafaa on Wednesday Shaikh Fahad Yousef Saud al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in the State of Kuwait, and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and discussed several topics of common concern. The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General at the Ministry of Defence, the Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Sultanate of Oman and several senior officers from both sides. Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, Minister of Interior (MoI), also received Shaikh Fahad . The meeting reviewed the deep-rooted relations between the two countries and discussed means of promoting cooperation to serve the joint interests. Meanwhile, it was attended from the Kuwaiti side by Dr Mohammed Nasser al Hajri, Ambassador of Kuwait to Oman, Major General Hamed Manahi al Mutairi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Criminal Security Affairs and Major General Khalid Abdulhadi Al Shanfa, Head of the State Security Apparatus. Meanwhile, Shaikh Fahad visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC). The guest was accompanied during the visit by Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF). Upon his arrival at the centre, the guest was received by Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) and Chairman of the Maritime Security Committee; and Commodore Adil bin Hamoud al Busaidy, Head of the Maritime Security Centre (MSC). The guest and his accompanying delegation listened to a briefing about the MSC's roles and efforts in maintaining maritime security. They also toured the centre's facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies which are used in carrying out its national duties. — ONA
