The three-day event runs from 29 to 31 May 2025 and is organized by BDA Conferences and Exhibitions, in cooperation with the Bahrain Family Physician Association and the Bahrain Medical Society. The opening day featured a series of workshops, including a session on men's and women's health, which included a short introductory film on the Supreme Council for Women, outlining its establishment and key mandates. Another workshop focused on enhancing the clinical skills of family physicians, with discussions exploring various aspects of family medicine and primary care. These sessions facilitated valuable knowledge exchange among healthcare professionals and contributed to advancing family medicine practices in Bahrain and the wider region. The scientific program began with a session titled ' Chronic Disease Management and Lifestyle Modification,' followed by a panel on 'Multidisciplinary Specialties in Primary Care'. Additional discussions included ' Telemedicine, AI, Innovation & Technology in Family Medicine,' and 'Clinical Practice in Family Medicine.' The final session of the day addressed 'Primary Health Care: Challenges and Opportunities.' Over the next two days, the conference will host a wide range of scientific sessions, panel discussions, case studies, and research presentations, all designed to enhance clinical practice and influence health policy. Day two will feature two key sessions: 'Young Family Medicine Leaders Meeting,' and 'The Six Pillars of Lifestyle Medicine' presented Al Razi YDM Group (WONCA). Several specialized seminars and research contributions led by attending experts are also scheduled. The third and final day will include nine in-depth sessions addressing topics such as: strengthening family medicine for universal health coverage, Primary Care: A Critical Force in the Fight Against Cancer, Empowering the Role of Family Physicians in the Healthcare System and Their Leadership Role in the Community. On this occasion, Professor Faisal Alnaser, Chairman of the Bahrain Family Physician Association, stated: 'We are pleased to launch this international conference from the Kingdom of Bahrain, serving as a scientific platform that brings together local and international expertise to exchange diverse knowledge and best practices in the field of primary health care and family medicine—both of which are fundamental pillars of any successful healthcare system.' Professor Alnaser added, 'Through this conference, we aim to position Bahrain as a regional and global hub for family medicine by presenting the latest medical techniques and tools that support accurate diagnosis and treatment. We also seek to strengthen collaboration with international scientific bodies to raise the standard of healthcare in Bahrain and the region in line with the highest global benchmarks.'
