Lanarkshire cheerleaders prepare for World Championships In America
Fame Xtreme Dance & Cheer's youth team 'Showtime' are fundraising for the trip.
Bellshill-based Fame Xtreme Dance & Cheer's youth team 'Showtime' have secured a bid to compete at the All-Star World Championships.
The prestigious event will be held in Orlando, Florida, from April 16 to 19, 2026.
Fame Xtreme chiefs say this incredible opportunity 'is a dream come true' for these young athletes (aged eight to 12), who all live within the Lanarkshire area and train in Bellshill.
They now aim to put Scotland on the map as they go head-to-head with the best teams from around the world.
As the team prepares for their trip to America, their fundraising efforts are already underway. The team are also seeking sponsorship from local business and individuals who want to help make this journey possible. All funds raised will contribute towards competition fees and training wear.
