BREAKING NEWS Boy, 6, killed and three injured after nightmare crash in NSW Far South Coast

A six-year-old boy has been killed in a two-vehicle crash on a rural road, which injured three others. A dual-cab ute and a truck collided on Towamba Rd, Nullica, on New South Wales ' Far South Coast, about 4.10pm on Tuesday. The young boy, who had been travelling in the ute, died at the scene. The 30-year-old male driver of the ute and his three-year-old female passenger also suffered multiple injuries. The pair were airlifted to hospital. A third passenger in the ute, an eight-year-old girl, was taken to South-East Regional Hospital at Bega. The truck driver, believed to be in his 50s, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing. He was also treated for the effects of shock. Crash investigators examined the scene on Tuesday night, and Towamba Road remained closed for several hours. Police urged anyone who witnessed the collision to make a report via Crime Stoppers.

A six-year-old boy has died and three others are injured after a dual-cab ute and a truck collided on a rural road on NSW's Far South Coast. Police were called to Towamba Rd in Nullica, about 10km southwest of Eden, about 4.10pm on Tuesday after a ute and a truck crashed. A six-year-old boy, who was travelling in the ute, died at the scene. A man in his 30s, who was the driver of the ute, and a three-year-old girl also travelling in the vehicle suffered several injuries. Both have been flown to hospital from Merimbula Airport. A third passenger in the car, an eight-year-old girl, was transported to South East Regional Hospital in Bega. 'The driver of the truck, believed to be aged in his 50s, has been taken to the same hospital for mandatory testing and to be treated for the effects of shock,' a police statement read. Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
