#SHOWBIZ: Fasha Sandha not offended by elderly woman who didn't recognise her
KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Fasha Sandha has said she was not offended after a video of an elderly woman failing to recognise her recently went viral. Speaking at a press conference to announce the 208th branch opening of Kopi Saigon, a business she co-owns with her husband, Aidil Aziz, Fasha explained she holds no grudges over the incident. She added that she considers herself to be an ordinary person. "Not everyone watches television dramas or entertainment. Some people prefer religious programmes. So it's not surprising if they don't know who I am," she said. "I don't see myself as a celebrity. I'm just like anyone else who runs errands, goes to the market, and even drives themselves around. I only consider myself an artist when I'm on duty, like when I'm being interviewed by the media." Fasha, 41, added that she has always lived by the principle of humility. "I've always been this way. Being genuine makes people feel more connected to you. It's perfectly okay if someone doesn't recognise me." She pointed out that with the rise of social media and streaming platforms, many people no longer watch traditional television, making it understandable if some are unfamiliar with her work. Previously, Fasha shared a funny Instagram video of the elderly woman who, despite not recognising her, was seemingly taken by her beauty and grace. The woman even offered to set Fasha up with her grandson. Fasha believes the woman didn't realise who she was, especially because she was not wearing any makeup. "On TV, I'm usually fully made-up. But in person, I look very different. That's probably why she didn't recognise me," said Fasha.
