Justin Bieber was arrested in Miami Beach 11 years ago. Who bailed him out?

Remember when Justin Bieber was arrested in a DUI in Miami Beach more than a decade ago? We are finding out more details about that fateful, wild day (Jan. 23, 2014) and who helped him. That would be Fat Joe. On last Thursday's 'Joe and Jada' podcast, the rapper claims he was the one who sprung the pop star from jail. Police back in the day said Bieber had his security team block off 26th to 41st streets on Pine Tree Drive so he could drag race in a Lamborghini with his friend, R&B singer Khalil Sharieff, in a Ferrari. The bail was set at $2,500, and the famous teen was released the following day. The Canadian-born heartthrob was charged with driving under the influence, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest. Sharieff also faced similar charges. Fat Joe reported that when Bieber later called to thank him, he initially boasted about his alleged crimes. Joe shut him down. 'He starts telling me he's a gangster,' recounted the 'All the Way Up' singer. 'I said, 'Yo, Justin. Listen, bro. You gotta stop. Straight up. We don't want you gangster. We want you singing 'Baby, baby.'' The 54-year-old said he refused to sugarcoat the incident, which could have ruined the young man's career. 'I hit him with, 'We don't want you on the news, yo. We don't want you getting arrested. We want you to succeed. ... My daughter worships you! We all love you!' The two entertainers, who had friends in common back then, apparently barely ever spoke again. 'That kinda messed up my relationship with him at that moment because he was really like yo this guy, I'm the fun killer. I f------ up the moment,' Fat Joe said. 'We can't glorify going to jail or getting arrested.' While Bieber may have lacked the maturity at the time, on the-seven year anniversary of the arrest, he told his fans he'd come a long way. 'Not proud of where I was at in my life. I was hurting, unhappy, confused, angry, misled, misunderstood and angry at God,' said his post, adding, 'I also wore too much leather for someone in Miami.'

The CT Barber Expo Lived Up To 'Mecca Of Men's Grooming' Hype

Source: aqua / CassiusLife The CT Barber Expo touts itself as the 'mecca of men's grooming showcases' and they certainly made a solid case for that level of confidence. Running from Saturday, May 17 through Sunday, May 19, 2025 at the Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, the event included a Barber Grammys the first night, followed by a couple of days of educational seminars in the mornings and the expo proper during the rest of the day. Source: aqua / CassiusLife The showfloor in the Mohegan Sun's Earth Ballroom was filled with brands familiar to those in the barber and grooming industry (or those who keep themselves looking sharp); like Wahl, Andis, Cocco and BaBylissPRO. As attendees walked the showfloor, they were met with vendors hawking their wares (from 'units' to clippers to barber capes to streetwear) as well as plenty of demonstrations from barbers sharing techniques and insights to their success. The latest tools of the trade (clippers, sheers, chairs, etc.) were available for sale while the latest essential for grooming (weak beards were few and far between) also caught plenty of floor space. As both professionals, amateurs and the curious took in the atmosphere, the vibes were all positive and celebratory. After about an hour, it also meant people loaded down with bags full of the aforementioned tools snapped up from vendors offering them up at sale prices. To the rear was the stage, where the spirited Barber Battle competition went down and we caught a glimpse of expo regular Fat Joe holding court on Sunday. Even Noreaga was in town and got cleaned up. Founded by Jay Raposo aka 'Majors,' the CT Barber Expo reportedly kicked off in 2011 in a nightclub and has only been growing since, developing into a can't miss trade show for the barber industry. It's worth a visit to learn, politic and take in the good vibes—just like a cherished barbershop, but on a much bigger scale. Fat Joe Says Nobody From LA 'Dominated The Paint' Like Kendrick Lamar

Fat Joe gave Kendrick Lamar high praise for his dominant year in a conversation with Jadakiss. Speaking on the premiere episode of their new collaborative Joe & Jada podcast, the two rappers reflected on the year since Kendrick Lamar and Drake's rap feud erupted. 'One year since the Kendrick and Drake discrepancy. What they like to call it 'beef' in the media world, since we in media now,' exclaimed Jadakiss. 'Personally, I thought it was about four or five months ago. I can't believe it's already been a year.' 'How is it a year?' Fat Joe responded. 'But what I can tell you is, boy, that Kendrick Lamar gets some spins on LA radio.' Jada assured that all Los Angeles artists get spins in their hometown, however, Fat Joe had more to say about the Grammy-winner's dominance. 'I was there last week… I've never seen nothing like this,' Fat Joe continued to elaborate. 'Every single song, 'Turn the TV off…' Kendrick Lamar gets played nine out of every 10 songs in L.A. right now. Not even Snoop Dogg, not even Tupac Shakur — nobody from L.A. has dominated the paint like this guy… this last year. If you're from L.A., you work at Target, Amazon, you delivering some sh*t… you thinking there's one man breathing in Hip-Hop. It's called Kendrick Lamar. I'm just keeping it a buck with you.' Jadakiss agreed, 'He had a helluva year.' The two East Coast Hip-Hop vets launched Joe & Jada to provide commentary on music, sports, and culture. Joe & Jada promises two weekly episodes and is presented by Boost Mobile and produced by The Volume and Roc Nation. 'My brother Jadakiss and I will be delivering a podcast experience like none other,' Fat Joe said. 'We're both passionate and opinionated about music, sports, entertainment, and culture, so you can definitely expect to get unfiltered analysis, versatile interviews, and untold stories. We're coming to shake up the podcast game and set a new blueprint.' 'I'm looking forward to teaming up with Joe on this podcast and showing another side of my personality,' added Jadakiss. 'We've been friends for a long time, so we have the right chemistry and foundation to make this a really special show. Everyone is finally going to get to hear what we debate and discuss all the time behind the scenes.' Watch the first episode below.
