Cyclist killed after being struck by vehicle near Manotick
Ottawa Police sign outside headquarters on Elgin St. in Ottawa. (CTV News Ottawa) Ottawa police say a cyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle near Manotick on Saturday. Police say emergency crews responded to Mitch Owens Road between Spratt Road and Limebank Road at approximately 12:30 p.m. The cyclist, a woman in her 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene, police say. Her identity has not been released. An investigation is ongoing. It comes less than a week after a female cyclist in her 30s was critically injured from being struck by a vehicle in Stittsville. Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam or surveillance footage of this incident but has not yet spoken to police. Pedestrian struck by pickup truck in downtown Ottawa has died: police
Police investigating after a pedestrian was struck on Elgin Street in Ottawa on July 7, 2025. (Hannah Berge/CTV News Ottawa) Ottawa police say a woman in her 20s has died after being struck by a pickup truck in downtown Ottawa Monday afternoon. The Ottawa Paramedic Service said it responded to the intersection of Elgin Street and Laurier Avenue at 5:40 p.m. after receiving reports that a person was hit by a vehicle 'at or near a crosswalk.' The woman was transported to hospital by ambulance with 'multiple' serious injuries, a paramedics spokesperson told CTV News Ottawa. Ottawa police said in an update Tuesday morning that the woman was pronounced dead in hospital. She has not been identified. Police said the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and was not injured. An investigation remains ongoing. Ottawa police say investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam or surveillance footage of this incident, but has not yet spoken to police. Woman taken to hospital in weekend Queen Elizabeth Dr. crash

Police say they were called near the intersection of Queen Elizabeth Driveway and Monkland Avenue for a single-vehicle crash at approximately 5:25 a.m. Sunday. A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said in a news release Monday. Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam or surveillance footage.
