Community of Greystones ‘shines and grows' on wellness day
Greystones Wellness Hub, founded by Fatima Alvarado, described an 'unforgettable' day for the participants in a social media post, a day which also marked the launch of Greystones Wellness Magazine. 'In togetherness we shine and grow. At Greystones Wellness Day, our community gathered by the harbour for a truly heartwarming celebration of wellness, connection, and local spirit. From energising Zumba and family yoga to breathwork, healing, and a joyful magazine launch – the day was filled with movement, mindfulness, and meaningful moments. 'At the Greystones Wellness Hub we are rooted in our shared belief that wellness begins with community and grows through care. Thank you to our amazing facilitators, generous sponsors, kind-hearted attendees, and every soul who made this day unforgettable.' Fatima also wished to than Druids Glen Resort for sponsoring the magazine, and of course, the teams behind Greystones Tidy Towns and the Plaza Market 'for this beautiful partnership that's just beginning'. Offering residents and newcomers the chance to experience the 'Greystones way of life', the Greystones Wellness Day was a free community event, a way to celebrate everything residents of the town hold dear – community, wellbeing, nature and connection. It was a day not just for activity, but for fun and socialising, with yoga, Zumba, boxing, family soccer, trampolining, reiki, a sound bath and meditation, with more than 60 local practitioners, businesses and advocates present. It was also the perfect opportunity to launch the first edition of the Greystones Wellness Magazine, created to highlight the lifestyle and wellbeing scene that makes the town so special.
