Ex Rangers star given bonkers Celtic transfer endorsement so he get one over old club

Romanian FA technical director Mihai Stoichita has bizarrely urged Celtic to make a bonkers move for Ianis Hagi. The Rangers star remains without a club since his Ibrox exit and is currently training back in homeland with Faul Constanta - the team who are owned by his football famous dad Gheorghe. The attacker has yet to find a new permanent home since his summer exit from Govan, despite Legia Warsaw being strongly linked with him. That would mean a potential swift return to Scotland to play Aberdeen in the Europa League play-off if they can overcome Kosovan club Drita FA in the third qualifying round. But Stoichita has namechecked the Hoops as one who should make an audacious swoop - so he can beat Rangers. He said: "I would be happy to see Ianis Hagi at Celtic. Let him play for them and beat Rangers. "Look, if he signs for Steaua Bucharest, I don't think it's a step backwards for his career at all. "He is fit and could play immediately. If he signs for a club now, he could easily play for the national team in the World Cup qualifiers in September and I pray for that. "He needs to be calm and make a decision."
