Fans attending Hull's Coldplay concerts will be able to take advantage of pedal power after a local charity confirmed it would offer free bicycle parking.R-evolution, which promotes active travel in the city, said 250 spaces will be available at Soccer Sensations next to the Craven Park venue on 18 and 19 City Council will also give free lights and reflective covers to those wanting to pedal under "A Sky full of Stars".R-evolution chief executive Fergal McCullough said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to show how practical, safe and enjoyable cycling in Hull can be - especially for major events like this." In addition to cycle access, a shuttle bus service will also run between the Hull Interchange and Preston park and ride at Priory Park near Hessle will also offer a special service for visitors to get to and from the concerts. A cycling hub has seen demand for its services increase by nearly a quarter in the past charity R-evolution is tasked by the council to operate a cycling hub from Trinity Market, helping support the authority's ambition to become "a city of active travel".In 2024/25, 4,830 people took advantage of Trinity Market Cycle Hub's free parking, compared with 3,905 people who used the facility the previous year.
