Capgemini expands partnership for secure generative AI with SAP
Capgemini has announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with Mistral AI and SAP to provide secure generative AI-powered solutions for organisations in regulated industries. The collaboration is intended to support sectors such as financial services, public sector, aerospace and defence, and energy and utilities, all of which have especially stringent data requirements. By leveraging Mistral AI's generative AI models together with SAP's Business Technology Platform (BTP), Capgemini plans to develop accessible business AI use cases that also seek to minimise environmental impact through a lower carbon footprint. Custom business AI solutions will be made available within SAP through a library of more than 50 pre-built use cases. These use cases draw on models from Mistral AI and have been validated by SAP, covering a range of industry-specific and process-driven needs. The solutions have been designed in accordance with regulations, incorporating responsible and ethical AI principles, built-in governance, and a focus on data security. Examples of use cases provided by the collaboration include augmented field workers in aerospace and defence to help resolve non-conformities in operations, drone-based inspection for predictive maintenance in energy and utilities, and intelligent indirect purchasing processes applicable across a variety of industries to streamline supplier selection. Capgemini stated that the collaboration aims to help organisations accelerate the deployment of customised generative AI solutions within SAP, particularly for those organisations that require secure environments to meet regulatory or privacy obligations. Marjorie Janiewicz, Mistral AI Executive Board member and Global Head of Revenue, said, "This new collaboration between Capgemini, Mistral AI and SAP unlocks new high-value business use cases for organizations seeking to augment their operations with generative AI capabilities. By combining our frontier, multilingual and highly customizable AI models with Capgemini's expertise in delivering real world industry-specific generative AI solutions, and the assurance of SAP's robust technology platform, we are making the effective integration of AI more accessible for all organizations, including those in highly regulated industries." Fernando Alvarez, Chief Strategy and Development Officer and Group Executive Board member at Capgemini, added, "Enterprises are increasingly turning to generative AI to enhance their resilience, streamline operations and accelerate time to value. As a trusted business and technology transformation partner to our clients, Capgemini is committed to helping them evolve their critical business processes through the secure and tailored application of AI. Together with Mistral AI and SAP, we can empower organizations to access a broad range of innovative and customized AI models, to drive significant business value and foster sustainable growth." Thomas Saueressig, Member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, Customer Services and Delivery, commented, "The collaboration is a powerful example of how we are enabling enterprises to leverage the power of generative AI to address their most critical business challenges. With SAP Business Technology Platform as a secure and scalable foundation, we're enabling organizations, especially those in regulated industries, to adopt AI with confidence, trust, and speed in a way that delivers real business value." Capgemini has also worked closely with SAP to expand its dedicated Global SAP Center of Excellence, which helps organisations tackle critical business challenges with generative AI. The partners have previously collaborated with Brose, an automotive supplier, to deliver an AI-powered assistant for suppliers known as SupplierGPT. This platform, built on SAP BTP, has enhanced efficiency within Brose's supplier network by improving onboarding and standardising processes. Michael Seifert, Business Product Owner Brose Supplier Portal, Brose Fahrzeugteile SE & Co. KG, remarked, "Together with Capgemini, we were able to implement SupplierGPT, from idea to reality within a few weeks. This solution enables the seamless integration of new innovations and supports rapid go-to-market, thanks to the AI services in SAP BTP. This co-innovation model combines the expertise of Capgemini, Brose and SAP to allow joint pilots to be designed, implemented, and tested quickly." Capgemini's efforts in this space have been recognised with the 2025 SAP Pinnacle Award for Business AI Innovation in the Customer AI use case category. The award highlights the performance and achievements of SAP's partners around the world who demonstrate capability in delivering AI-powered solutions.

Capgemini, Mistral AI and SAP partner on AI for regulated sectors
Technology companies Capgemini, Mistral AI and SAP have joined forces to offer an array of artificial intelligence (AI) models for the regulated industry. Capgemini said the collaboration aims to establish a 'trusted and secure' framework for deploying bespoke AI solutions within SAP environments, with a focus on industries that face stringent data requirements, including financial services, the public sector, aerospace and defence, and energy and utilities. By combining Mistral AI's generative AI models with the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Capgemini plans to develop low-carbon, business-ready AI use cases that are accessible and scalable. Capgemini chief strategy and development officer and group executive board member Fernando Alvarez said: 'Enterprises are increasingly turning to generative AI to enhance their resilience, streamline operations and accelerate time to value. 'As a trusted business and technology transformation partner to our clients, Capgemini is committed to helping them evolve their critical business processes through the secure and tailored application of AI.' The integration of AI, Capgemini said, will support businesses in building resilience by modelling scenarios, planning for disruptions, and responding to market shifts. It also offers a competitive edge by enabling tailored customer experiences, adaptive supply chains, and enriched digital services. However, organisations in highly regulated industries or those managing sensitive data often struggle to access these benefits due to strict compliance requirements. Addressing this, the partnership will offer secure, advanced generative AI capabilities within platforms such as the self-hosted SAP BTP. As part of the initiative, Capgemini will offer over 50 pre-designed, industry-specific AI applications, built with Mistral AI's models and certified by SAP. These solutions are designed to align with responsible AI principles, ensuring data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. Mistral AI executive board member and global head of revenue Marjorie Janiewicz said: 'By combining our frontier, multilingual and highly customisable AI models with Capgemini's expertise in delivering real world industry-specific generative AI solutions, and the assurance of SAP's robust technology platform, we are making the effective integration of AI more accessible for all organisations, including those in highly regulated industries.' Earlier this month, Mistral AI launched Le Chat Enterprise, an enterprise-focused AI assistant. Le Chat Enterprise, equipped with the Mistral Medium 3 model, addresses enterprise AI challenges such as tool fragmentation, insecure knowledge integration, rigid models, and slow ROI. "Capgemini, Mistral AI and SAP partner on AI for regulated sectors " was originally created and published by Verdict, a GlobalData owned brand. Capgemini expands strategic partnership with Google Cloud to revolutionize CX across industries with agentic AI
Press contact:Mollie MellowsTel.: + 44 (0) 7342 709384E-mail: Capgemini expands strategic partnership with Google Cloud to revolutionize CX across industries with agentic AI Paris, April 9, 2025 – Capgemini today announced a strategic agentic AI initiative with Google Cloud to transform customer experience (CX) into a key value driver for clients. Building on its existing partnership, Capgemini will create industry-specific agentic AI solutions designed to handle customer requests across all communication channels (web, social, phone etc.) and improve employee productivity. Underpinned by Google Cloud's AI technology, Capgemini will develop bespoke solutions designed to enhance customer services with intelligent automation and deep customer insights, enabling organizations to deliver more personalized, efficient, and effective CX to elevate brand perception, increase loyalty, and drive revenue growth. A recent report by the Capgemini Research Institute found that although customer service is considered strategically important, less than half of organizations feel prepared to integrate AI and generative AI into the function.1 Recognized as the Global Industry Solution Partner of the Year 2025 by Google Cloud, Capgemini will combine its deep industry expertise and technical capabilities to develop solutions powered by Google Agentspace and Customer Engagement Suite with Google AI. This will accelerate adoption of secure, trusted agentic AI capabilities that are interoperable with a client's existing technology infrastructure and can support a variety of industry and regulatory needs. The agentic AI solutions will be designed to significantly optimize business processes and unlock commercial value by enhancing organizations' own search capabilities, automating complex workflows, as well as understanding and proactively anticipating customer needs. 'Capgemini is entering the next phase of its strategic partnership with Google Cloud and this new collaboration focuses on driving revenue for our clients by elevating customer service to a strategic value driver in industries where CX is paramount,' said Fernando Alvarez, Chief Strategy and Development Officer and Group Executive Board Member at Capgemini. 'The customer service function is undergoing a transformative shift as business leaders increasingly recognize its importance in unlocking commercial potential. Agentic systems can play a key role in this, and the future of customer service will require a strategic blend of human and virtual agents, enhanced by generative and agentic AI. By understanding the potential of agentic AI and the business realities of our clients, we're expertly placed to maximize its value and deliver genuine impact.' "Businesses require a combination of technical expertise and advanced technology to fully realize the benefits of agentic AI within their current IT infrastructure. Through Agentspace and our new Agent2Agent interoperability protocol, our partnership with Capgemini will provide clients with AI solutions that drive long-term value across industries,' said Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Partner Organization, Google Cloud. Primarily focused on telco, retail, and financial services, the partnership is intended to expand into further industries such as life sciences and utilities, with a goal of accelerating business outcomes by enabling customer services transformation. This includes areas such as: Improving productivity in telco: New solutions to optimize call routing and resolution in contact centers by leveraging conversational AI to improve intent and understanding, increase call containment and assist agents. Organizations can benefit from reduced handling time and improved first-call resolution rates, while human agents are freed-up to focus on higher value tasks. Capgemini's research finds that around 9 in 10 organizations using gen AI are already seeing improved first contact resolution rates or expecting to see this benefit in the future.1 Personalizing CX in retail: AI agents to help better personalize shopping experiences by using AI to analyze customer data and provide tailored product recommendations, promotions, and support interactions across all channels (online, in-store, mobile). Enhancing security in financial services Using Google Cloud's AI, financial services clients can improve risk assessment and fraud detection with agents that analyze customer transactions and identify suspicious patterns, improving security and regulatory compliance. Google Cloud's new Agent2Agent interoperability protocol will enable AI agents to successfully communicate with one another, safely exchange information, and coordinate actions no matter which platform they are running on or built on top of. As agentic AI becomes more widely adopted, this protocol will ensure agent functionality across diverse and separate data sources and applications.
