Pedestrian dies after being hit by car in Winston-Salem on Peters Creek Parkway, police say
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A pedestrian who was hit by a car while crossing the street in Winston-Salem died over the weekend, according to a Winston-Salem Police Department news release.
On May 19, WSPD officers responded to a crash in the 3100 block of Peters Creek Parkway.
Fernando Rodriguez Garcia, 51, was crossing the road on foot when he was hit by a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser.
He was taken to a hospital, where he died on Friday.
He was transported to a local hospital by Emergency Medical Services (EMS), where he later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. Mr. Garcia was pronounced deceased on May 23, 2025.
No charges will be filed.
