EU Banks to Fare Better in Stress Test Than Last Time, A&M Says
European banks are set to fare better than they did two years ago in a regulatory test that will help determine their ability to make shareholder payouts, according to a consultancy that advised several firms in the exam.
Lenders in the latest stress test will probably see an average hit between 4 and 4.5 percentage points to their key capital ratio, compared to 4.59 points in 2023, said Fernando de la Mora, a managing director at Alvarez & Marsal.
