Police investigating fire in Cambridge park
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a portable washroom was reportedly set on fire in a Cambridge park Friday night.
Emergency services responded to Cowan Boulevard, near the Fiddlesticks Community Centre, around 8:45 p.m.
The Cambridge Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire. Investigators determined toilet paper inside the dispenser had been set alight.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police at 519-570-9777.
Police are reminding residents that a region-wide fire ban is currently in effect due to prolonged drought conditions and an elevated risk of fire ignition.
