Donald Trump Junior steps out with his glam girlfriend Bettina Anderson, 38, for black-tie event in Portsmouth - as America's First Son rubs shoulders with a beaming Nigel Farage

American's First Son stepped out with his glamorous girlfriend Bettina Anderson for a black-tie event in Portsmouth earlier this evening, rubbing shoulders with a beaming Nigel Farage. Wearing a dark suit, Donald Trump Jr proudly strode along the streets of Portsmouth, arms linked with his Palm Beach socialite girlfriend Bettina Anderson, earlier this evening. Ms Anderson, who was first seen locking lips with Don Jr. in September, sported a grey maxi satin dress, with a yellow jacket with accents of blue draped over her shoulders. And beside the 47-year-old and his partner, was a beaming Nigel Farage donning a dark velvet blazer coupled with a bow tie, as the trio headed to the 250 year celebration of Britain's oldest gunmaker - John Rigby & Co. The exclusive event was held HMS Victory and HMS Warrior at Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard where the American couple were spotted inside parked armoured cars. Nigel Farage told MailOnline: 'Don is a Rigby customer, a great British firm celebrating their 250th anniversary. I support manufacturing excellence.' Avid hunter, Donald Jr, was previously invited to the a showcase by the London gun makers last month in what was described as a 'significant milestone' for the firm. During his May visit, the south London based company spoke of their excitement about their upcoming collaboration with the influential US figure as well as the outdoor brand, Field Ethos. At the time, Rigby managing director, Marc Newton, said: 'Hosting Donald Trump Jr. was nothing short of a complete privilege. 'America represents one of the biggest markets for British gun makers so having this opportunity to spend such an intense few days with the most influential person in the US hunting industry was priceless. 'Rigby and Field Ethos share a passion for authenticity and our brands are aligned on so many levels. Watch this space for further announcements about how we are working together.' And in a continued show of support for the gun company, Donald Jr arrived with his glowing girlfriend, to celebrate the companies 250th anniversary on HMS Victory and HMS Warrior. Celebrations will feature a cannon salute between the ships after guests enjoy a lavish gala dinner aboard HMP Warrior, with notable speakers including The Earl of Yarmouth, William Seymour, 32. As part of the anniversary, Britain's oldest gun making firm will also release 250 limited engraved editions of their Big Game and High Stalker rifles to celebrate the company's history. This is Donald Jr's most recent outing amid his budding romance with Anderson, who is nine years his junior. Their relationship causeda buzz r in Republican circles in Palm Beach, as the US President's son hadn't yet officially called off his four-year engagement to Kimberly Guilfoyle, the former Fox News host, who managed to stay in the Trump orbit by being nominated to be the US Ambassador to Greece. Guilfoyle and Anderson were both present at Trump's inauguration in January, although it was Anderson at Don Jr.'s side for certain parts of the day. Their first document outing was in mid-December, when the the two spent nearly two hours at a hotspot in Buccan, three miles from Anderson's West Palm Beach townhouse. They left the high-end bistro hand-in-hand before getting into a black SUV and driving off. The last high-profile event the two were spotted at was Trump's speech to a joint session of Congress in early March. Trump and Anderson's visit to Portsmouth comes shortly after the socialite made her frustration known over a recent New York Magazine article where an anonymous source called him a 'spoiled heir.' Anderson expressed her fury after an the insider spoke to the magazine spoke to called the president's son an 'a*****e.' The insider even told the publication that Anderson's new boyfriend 'is the most despised member of the family.' But the 38-year-old hit back with a series of cryptic Instagram stories, first declaring: 'Rumors are started by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.' She then cast doubt on the validity of the source, sarcastically writing, 'DEFINTELY an "insider" VERY familiar with @donaldtrumpjr.' She later showered Donald Jr with praise, calling him 'the finest, loveliest, tenderest, and most beautiful and brilliant person I have ever known' before adding, 'and even that is an understatement.' Don Jr. also had his own response to the article titled: 'The Age of Don Jr.: How the ultimate fail son became an edgelord whisperer and a bona fide power player.' 'Don't get me wrong, I can totally be an a*****e when I need to you're adversarial to my friends, my family, my country, MAGA, etc.,' he wrote on Instagram. 'But I think you'd be hard pressed to find a regular person who actually knows me that thinks that. There's no wonder why these "sources" are always anonymous. Man up, put your name to it, but we know you wont (sic) because you're cowards.'

Donald Trump Jr. accused of shooting protected rare duck in Venice lagoon

Ammon News - An Italian lawmaker has filed a legal complaint for hunting without a license against Donald Trump Jr. and his hunting party after video emerged showing him surrounded by dead birds that he and his group allegedly shot in a protected conservation area of the Venice lagoon. The carcasses appear to include an orange-brown ruddy shelduck, which is protected under Italian law. Andrea Zanoni, a regional councilor for the northern Italian Veneto region, that only residents of the Italian regions can acquire the necessary hunting licenses. He says the footage shows Trump Jr. among hunters in the Valle Pierimpie' a Campagna Lupia, a private marshland in the Venice lagoon. Responding to accusations over the duck's shooting, a spokesperson for Trump Jr. said the US president's son had the necessary authorizations to hunt and would cooperate with any investigation. 'Don and his group had all the proper permits and were hunting in a legally allowed area, where there were countless other hunting groups present,' Andy Surabian told CNN in a statement. The video was published Sunday in Field Ethos, for which Trump Jr. is listed as co-founder and publisher, described as a 'premier lifestyle publication for the unapologetic man.' CNN

Don Jr. Under Investigation for Alleged Illegal Duck Hunt in Italy

Prosecutors are investigating whether Donald Trump Jr. illegally hunted a protected duck during a trip to the Venice lagoon last December. Earlier this month, a local hunting lifestyle company called Field Ethos released a video online of Trump's trip that showed him shooting waterfowl in a special conservation area of the lagoon, Veneto regional councillor Andrea Zanoni previously wrote on Facebook. At one point, Trump addresses the camera surrounded by dead waterfowl—including the protected ruddy shelduck, which has distinctive bright orange feathers. Zanoni and several animal rights groups filed criminal complaints—called a denuncia—with the forest police accusing Trump of hunting without a license and killing the protected bird, the Italian news agency ANSA reported. Now, the Venice prosecutor's office is investigating the incident to determine who shot down the duck in question and whether the group respected regional hunting laws, according to numerous Italian press reports. Foreigners hunting in Italy need several additional documents besides a hunting license, including a consular declaration and insurance policy, Italian daily Il Fatto Quotidiano reported. The regional hunting administrator previously said all rules and procedures had been followed, but the region announced it would open a police investigation to be sure, according to La Nuova di Venezia e Mestre. A spokesperson for Trump had also previously told the AP it wasn't clear whether the duck was 'unintentionally shot by someone in Don's hunting group, another hunting group or killed in a different manner and retrieved by the group's hunting dog.' 'Don takes following all rules, regulations and conservation on his hunts very seriously and plans on fully cooperating with any investigation,' spokesman Andy Surabian said in a statement when the incident was first revealed. The criminal code, however, prohibits not just killing the protected species but keeping the dead animal, according to Il Fatto. Anyone who 'kills, captures or holds specimens belonging to a protected wild animal species' can be sentenced to one to six months in prison and fined up to 4,000 euros ($4,175), according to the relevant section.

Donald Trump Jr. faces scrutiny in Italy over alleged hunting of protected duck

The Brief Italian politicians are demanding an investigation into Donald Trump Jr.'s hunting trip after a video showed him next to a protected ruddy shelduck. Hunting protected species is a criminal offense in Italy, though Trump's spokesperson says all permits were in order. Officials are urging authorities to suspend or revoke the hunting reserve's authorization. MILAN - A recent hunting trip near Venice has drawn scrutiny after a video surfaced showing Donald Trump Jr. standing next to a dead ruddy shelduck, a species protected in Europe. The footage, shared by Trump Jr.'s own Field Ethos website, has led to calls from Italian politicians for an investigation into whether the hunting party illegally killed the bird. The backstory Andrea Zanoni, a member of the Europa Verde party in the Veneto region, called for authorities to take action, claiming that killing a ruddy shelduck is a criminal offense under Italian law. He has urged legislators to coordinate with Italy's environment minister to investigate and potentially suspend the hunting reserve's authorization. The other side A spokesperson for Trump Jr. said his group had all required permits and was hunting in a legal area where many other groups were also present. The spokesperson added that it is unclear whether the protected duck was shot by someone in Trump Jr.'s group or retrieved by their hunting dog after being shot by another party. Fact Check: Donald Trump Jr. is accused of hunting protected duck in Italy. Here's the context

Claim: In December 2024, Donald Trump Jr. illegally hunted a protected bird in the Venice region of Italy. Rating: What's True: Italian politicians have filed complaints against Donald Trump Jr., who appeared in a video showing off the ducks he shot, including a rust-colored duck that is reportedly protected across Europe. The complaint says not only was it illegal for him to shoot a rare duck, it was also illegal for him to hunt in Italy as a nonresident. What's Undetermined: An investigation was needed to verify that the duck in the video was indeed a ruddy shelduck — known as a casarca in Italy — a protected species in Europe. Also, while Trump was showing it off, it is not clear that he shot it. Further, the president of Italy's Hunting Federation said it may not have been illegal for Trump to hunt as nonresident. In early February 2025, claims spread on social media that Donald Trump Jr., the son of U.S. President Donald Trump, had illegally shot ducks in Italy. For example, a user posted the claim on X (archived) on Feb. 3: The post had 2.5 million views as of this writing, and it had been shared more than 11,000 times. It is true that politicians in Italy accused Trump of hunting a protected species illegally and filed complaints against him, though judicial proceedings had yet to start. The type of duck in the video had not been confirmed, and it was unclear whether Trump himself shot it. For these reasons, we have rated this claim a mixture of truth and undetermined information. On Feb. 3, Andrea Zanoni, a regional councillor of Veneto, the region around Venice, outlined the accusations against Trump in a Facebook post: A translation of the post to English showed that Zanoni had reported the incident to the Veneto regional government, and that Luana Zanella, a member of the Italian parliament, had reported it to the Italian government (emphasis ours): In a video by Field Ethos — the global hunt for adventure — I observed several duck hunting scenes in the Venice lagoon, recently filmed in Valle Pierimpié in Campagna Lupia (VE). […] The video shows some people, including Donald Trump Junior, while they kill several ducks. The video shows Trump J. with a Ruddy Shelduck (Tadorna ferrugginea) in the foreground, a duck that is very rare in Europe and protected by the EU Birds Directive and by the Italian law on the protection of wild fauna, L. 157/1992. Killing or keeping this animal is punishable by law and therefore, under Italian law, constitutes a specific crime under the jurisdiction of the judiciary. Trump J. could not have hunted in Italy. Only residents of one of the Italian regions can hunt in Italy because it is mandatory to have a hunting license that is issued by law by the Region of residence of the applicant. I have submitted a question so that the Region reports what sanctions it intends to implement, such as the suspension or revocation of the authorization against the hunting wildlife company and those responsible for acts in violation of Italian and European regulations. The Hon. Luana Zanella of the Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra [Left and Green Alliance] did the same thing, addressing it to the Italian government. […] The current Meloni government now seems to be held on a leash by the new U.S. political program, with USAF military exercises in EU-protected areas in the Treviso area (I reported the facts last week regarding the site of the Piave graves in Ciano del Montello) and now Trump's son is hunting protected species in the Venice lagoon. Veneto and Italy are not U.S. property. The politicians based their accusations on a widely shared video in which Trump shows off what he calls "a rather uncommon duck for the area" — which his accusers identified as a ruddy shelduck, a protected species in the European Union Birds Directive as well as Italian law. The ruddy shelduck is one of the species listed in the European Red List of Birds, which assesses the extinction risk of the continent's birds. Zenella also claimed that Trump, as a nonresident, would not have been able to obtain the necessary hunting license. The regional newspaper Corriere del Veneto published the video, which was reportedly produced by Field Ethos, a company Trump has cofounded that organizes hunting adventure trips. We could not find the original video on Field Ethos' website or YouTube feed. The video also appeared in an article by The Guardian, credited to Corriere del Veneto. The Guardian article quoted Massimo Buconi, president of Italy's Hunting Federation, as saying that while it may not be true that Trump was barred from hunting in Italy for not being a resident, if the duck in question was found to have been a ruddy shelduck, Trump's shoot would indeed be illegal. "At a glance it looks like a ruddy shelduck," he told The Guardian. "I don't know if it's protected in America, but in Europe, and in Italy, it is protected. You cannot hunt it." Italian media outlets have reported that Trump visited Italy with his girlfriend, Bettina Anderson, in December 2024, which may have been when the video was filmed. We have contacted Zanoni, Zanella, Buconi and Trump to confirm the details of the story. We have also contacted Field Ethos asking for more information.
