Mother's Day brunch on Cape Cod: Mimosa bar, tea service or lobster Benedict?
Mother's Day is here − Sunday, May 11. What can you do on Cape Cod with your mom?
At the end of the day, there is no better gift than quality time, especially when you add in some waffles and mimosas. Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it only makes sense to enjoy it together. But what's even better than breakfast?
The answer: Brunch. To help make the search easier, we've found a few Mother's Day brunches that might be right for you and mom.
The newly renovated Red Jacket Beach Resort, at 1 South Shore Drive, South Yarmouth is hosting a Mother's Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Featured on the menu is honey ginger salmon, lobster eggs benedict and a mimosa bar.

For the animal lover mother, or one who enjoys little pastries with tea, this is the perfect event. Wild Care is hosting a high tea fundraiser from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on May 10 at the Crosby Mansion at 163 Crosby Lane, Brewster.
Wear a fancy tea hat for a chance to win a meet and greet with Garv, a turtle ambassador to Wild Care. The afternoon includes a talk about wildlife mothers living on Cape Cod, a tour of the Crosby Mansion, and tea service with vegan finger foods. Tickets are $85 per person and only 50 seats are available so be sure to book soon.
For gluten-free or vegan mothers, Fig Tree Cafe at 149 Cotuit Road in Marstons Mills is the way to go. Their Mother's Day menu offers lemon ricotta pancakes with a homemade raspberry sauce, lobster benedict and asparagus quiche, to name a few. They don't serve alcohol but have a full smoothie and espresso bar. The cafe is open from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 11. Tables are first come first served, but don't worry about buying flowers if you plan to go.
"What we usually do is give every mother a flower," said Maria Ferguson, owner of Fig Tree Cafe.
Mother's Day is on a Sunday, but if you're looking to treat your mother all weekend, Ocean Edge Resort at 2907 Main St., Brewster, is prepared. From May 9 to 11, Tam Terry, a yoga therapist, leads a weekend of yoga, breathwork, inspirational readings, sound baths, and massages. The relaxing weekend ends with a brunch from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
