Hong Kong Economy Grows More Than Expected on Export Strength
Economic growth in Asia's financial capital grew faster than expected in the second quarter, riding on strong exports as global companies frontloaded shipments to avoid tariffs.
Gross domestic product rose 3.1% in April-June compared to the same period last year, according to advance estimates released Thursday by the Census and Statistics Department. That beat an estimate of 2.8% expansion.
