Like mother, like daughter: Princess Charlotte mirrors Kate Middleton's look at Wimbledon 2025 finale

The Prince and Princess of Wales' little daughter, Princess Charlotte, has already made her mark as a mini fashion icon. Whether she's wearing sweet florals or a cosy, comforting sweater, the princess has defined a sense of preppy-meets-girly style, which is being sincerely adored by the fashion community across the globe.

appearance this weekend, joining her parents and brother. What stood out was her choice of outfit, a white frilled dress with sleek black piping. The subtle look bore an uncanny resemblance to her mother's outfit from 2022.

However, this was not just another case of outfit twinning, as Charlotte's styling simply had a nod to Kate's past wardrobe and mirrored her mother's personality, blending it so ardently with her own.
From the small silver charm bracelet to a pair of shoes, nearly every detail of the little princess's outfit carried a deeper meaning and reference.

Customised dress with royal history
The white summer dress worn by Princess Charlotte was customised by Sarah Burton, the designer responsible for Kate Middleton's 2011 wedding gown. It featured a soft frill detailing around the hemline and had precise black V-line stitching. However, the design elements closely resembled a white Emilia Wickstead dress worn by the Princess of Wales at the Guards Polo Club in 2022.
For footwear and accessories, Princess Charlotte wore a pair of Camilla Elphick flats and Finlat & Co sunglasses, which is another uncanny overlap with Kate Middleton's past Wimbledon appearances. Therefore, one can say that the designers and stylists involved with both royals are hinting at a growing style mentorship between the mother and daughter.

What's the story behind the charm bracelet?
Princess Charlotte wore a silver Pandora bracelet featuring a charm with a green stone, which is her May birthstone.
Whereas the other one is a miniature Nala from 'The Lion King', referencing her love for the character.
But there's also a third charm, which features a silver heart paired with an engraved disc, which contains a message from 'someone special', mostly indicating that it's given by her own mother.
As we said, like mother, like daughter, it's heartwarming and adorable to witness these fashion links, with an indication that Princess Charlotte is not so little anymore and is being inspired by the Princess of Wales, as she's indeed the epitome of royal grace and sophistication in the household.
