Cardiff and Wrexham advance in Women's Welsh Cup

Holders Cardiff City and last season's runners-up Wrexham are through to the semi-finals of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup following dominant quarter final wins. Cardiff beat Barry Town United 4-0 with Fiona Barry giving the Bluebirds a first half lead. Molly Kehoe, Mackenzie Olden and Laura Curnock completed the scoring in the second half. Wrexham were 5-0 winners against Swansea City thanks to goals from Ava Suckley, Liv Fuller, Rosie Hughes and a brace from Abbie Iddenden, The New Saints, who secured the Genero Adran Trophy a week previously, beat Briton Ferry Llansawel 4-2 on penalties. Olivia Buckland and Molly Havard scored for Saints with Tija Richardson and Jade Crofts replying for Ferry with the game 2-2 after 90 minutes. Saints goalkeeper Becca Elliott saved two penalties in the shoot-out to seal their place in the last four. Pontypridd United of the Genero Adran South stunned Adran Premier side Aberystwyth Town with a 2-0 win at Park Avenue. Nicole Fenton scored both Pontypridd's goals.
