Originally appeared on E! Online is highlighting the heroes in his community. The Transformers star surprised the firefighters at Los Angeles Fire Department Station 88 with a donation of $28,000 and a Bobcat utility vehicle (UTV) in recognition of their service to their community, particularly during the devastating wildfires earlier this year. 'I'm so proud and grateful for the work our firefighters do in this town,' he told E! News' Francesca Amiker in an exclusive interview. 'I think anybody who lives here understands how important they are to this community.' Having played a firefighter in the 2012 thriller Fire With Fire, the actor has long held the profession in high esteem—though he was quick to note that the real-life heroes are in a league of their own. 'Anytime you can meet the guys who do the actual deed, it helps you,' he explained. 'Playing a firefighter isn't quite actually fighting fire, so yes, I do learn from these guys. I really do admire them so much in the work that they do, so any chance I get to support them, I take that seriously.' 'I've been working with Bobcat now for six years or more, and they're always looking to do things to help communities big or small,' he continued. 'Anything that they can do to help these tremendous, heroic firefighters get the job done, keep people safe and prevent these things from spreading any further than they can.' Daniel Radcliffe Boards NBC's Tracy Morgan Comedy Pilot From Tina Fey

Daniel Radcliffe is trading in Broadway for broadcast TV. The Harry Potter actor is set to co-star in NBC's as-yet-untitled comedy pilot starring 30 Rock's Tracy Morgan, TVLine has learned. More from TVLine Joey Is Finally Streaming! Multiple Episodes of Friends Spinoff Hit YouTube - But Where Are the Rest? This Is Us' Jon Huertas Teaming With The Rookie Creator for Fire With Fire Series Adaptation at NBC The Voice Recap: As the Battles Begin, So Do the Head-Scratching Decisions Ordered to pilot earlier this month, the potential series stars Morgan as Reggie, a disgraced former football player on a mission to rehabilitate his image. We now know he'll get an assist from Radcliffe's character, Arthur Tobin, an award-winning filmmaker who moves into Reggie's mansion to film an immersive documentary about the former star running back. The project hails from Morgan's onetime 30 Rock collaborators Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Sam Means, Eric Gurian and David Miner — and Radcliffe is now reuniting with that group, too, having previously worked with them on the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt interactive special, Kimmy vs the Reverend, in 2020. Though Radcliffe is best recognized for playing boy wizard Harry Potter in all eight of Warner Bros.' film adaptations, he's got quite a few TV credits under his belt, too, including TBS' Miracle Workers (opposite Steve Buscemi) and Roku's TV movie Weird: The Al Yankovic Story (which earned him a 2023 Emmy nod for playing the title musician). More recently, he co-starred in the Broadway revival of Merrily We Roll Along, snagging a Tony Award win for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. What do you think of Radcliffe's latest gig?
