Marion man, 27, dies when motorcycle travels into field and overturns
An 27-year-old Marion man died early Sunday morning in a motorcycle crash on Caledonia Northern Road, just north of Emahiser Road.
Seth G. Reece was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the Marion Post of the State Highway Patrol.
Reece was driving northbound on a 2024 Suzuki GSX1000, approaching Emahiser Road, when he failed to negotiate the curve at the intersection, according to the release. The motorcycle traveled off of the right side of the road into a field, where Reece was unable to maintain control of the bike, causing him to overturn before the vehicle came to redst.
Reece was wearig a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the report.
The patrol was assisted on scene by First Consolidated Fire and EMS and Ron's Towing.
