Brad Pitt's Divorce Response Sparks Backlash
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie began dating in 2005 and were together for about nine years before getting married in 2014. Their relationship lasted about 11 years in total before Angelina filed for divorce in 2016. Last December, their divorce was finalized after an eight-year legal battle. Brad's relationship with their six children has allegedly become strained since the split. It has also been reported that Brad has "virtually no contact" with his adult children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh — and limited visitation with his younger twins, Knox and Vivienne. Brad himself has acknowledged his struggles with substance abuse during their marriage. In a 2017 interview for GQ, he described the split as a "huge generator for change" in his life. Adding, "I can't remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn't boozing or had a spliff, or something... I stopped everything except boozing when I started my family. But even this last year, you know — things I wasn't dealing with. I was boozing, too." Angelina also spoke about the divorce in a 2017 interview with Yalda Hakim for BBC News when she was promoting her 2017 film First They Killed My Father, a movie based on the genocide in Cambodia. When asked how she was coping, holding back tears, Angelina said, "Many, many people find themselves in this my family, we've all been through a difficult time. My focus is my children, our children, and my focus is finding this way through... We are and forever will be a family, and so that is how I am coping. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer." You can watch the full interview here. And now Brad has made his first comments about the divorce since it was finalized last year. In another GQ interview, Brad described his divorce finalization as "not that major of a thing" and "just something coming to fruition. Legally." He expressed that the legal conclusion didn't bring him a significant sense of relief, and that it was merely a formal step in the process. He also added, "My personal life is always in the news. It's been in the news for 30 years, bro. Or some version of my personal life, let's put it that way." And, as you can imagine, some people on TikTok have been sharing their thoughts on Brad's comments. One TikToker expressed frustration over Brad's comments, saying, "My favorite part of the interview is when he tried to act all nonchalant and chill, like Mr. Cool Guy about the divorce from Jolie. They asked him if he was relieved and he said, ' wasn't that major.' ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" They seem mostly upset at the fact that he appears to be shrugging off an 11-year relationship and custody of six kids. That, and the fact that it took nearly as long as their entire relationship just to be finalized. Others even blamed his zodiac for what appears to be a lack of emotion about the whole situation. Either way, it is just not sitting right with some people. You can read more about Brad's comments on the divorce being finalized here.

Academy Award nominee David Magee, Forster's A Man Called Otto scribe, has adapted the novel into a screenplay. Jolie won a Tony award in 2024 for her work in The Outsiders. She recently appeared in the Maria Callas biopic from filmmaker Pablo Larraín, besides directing First They Killed My Father. Besides World War Z and A Man Called Otto, some of Forster's other film credits are Monster's Ball, The Kite Runner, Quantum of Solace, and Finding Neverland. As per Forster, the story is "filled with humor, heart, chaos, and unexpected hope." On the other hand, producer Wikström Nicastro stated, "Fredrik's novels speak to our shared humanity in a way that really moves audiences, and we're proud to be able to deliver another heartwarming and hilarious adaptation of his work."

Angelina Jolie's daughter Shiloh drops major hint she's following her mother's footsteps with statement hoodie
Shiloh Jolie looked tired as she left dance rehearsals in Los Angeles but her activities and her wardrobe dropped a major hint about her career aspirations. The young performer, 18, who recently sported a new tattoo on her wrist, seems to following her mother, Angelina Jolie, 49, into the arts and into humanitarian work as well. Shiloh is also the daughter of Brad Pitt, 61, from whom she is estranged. The teen, born Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, has dropped Pitt from her last name. As she exited her rehearsal at the Millennium dance studio in the Studio City area, the dancer was attired in black sneakers, loose fitting cargo pants and a black hoodie covering her blonde hair. The sweatshirt appeared to be from the non-profit organization The United Way which helps the homeless and less fortunate, an indication she wants to continue her mother's example of helping others. Shiloh Jolie looked tired as she left dance rehearsals in Los Angeles but her activities and her wardrobe dropped a major hint about her career aspirations Angelina Jolie is a former United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and Special Envoy, who focused on refugees before stepping down from the organization in 2022. The teen, who was named for the Shiloh Wildlife Sanctuary in Namibia, and was born in the African nation, has accompanied her mom on several humanitarian missions over the years, including trips to Turkey, Lebanon and Cambodia. During the recent deadly fires that ravaged parts of the Los Angeles area throughout the month of January, Shiloh and her siblings, Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 16, were doing their part to help victims. 'Her kids are volunteering around the state, asking for what's needed and jumping in,' a source told People at the time. 'She knows what's important is to bring supplies and donate and fall in line. She isn't posting or announcing efforts. Just trying to listen and learn.' The source also said the Maria star opened up her home to friends who had been forced to evacuate theirs. Shiloh is not the only child of Jolie's who is trying their hand at showbusiness. Vivienne, 16, was an early enthusiast for the musical The Outsiders, based on the novel by the same name written by S.E. Hinton, and convinced the multi-hyphenate to sign on as a producer, while she worked as an assistant on the Tony winning production. Older brothers Maddox and Pax have made their forays into show business as well. Maddox was a producer on the Jolie directed drama First They Killed My Father and he and Pax were assistant directors with her on the war drama Without Blood. Star Salma Hayek praised their work ethic when the film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024. 'They work hard. They are very serious about what they do,' she told People at the time.

‘Dealing With' Brad Pitt a ‘Headache' for Angelina Jolie as She Plans a Summer Getaway for 6 Kids
Angelina Jolie loves traveling with her six kids whenever she can and a source exclusively tells In Touch she's looking to whisk them all away for a family vacation as she continues to eye up an eventual move out of Los Angeles altogether. Even though parents Angie, 49, and Brad Pitt separated in 2016, Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 18 and twins Vivienne and Knox, 16, still pal around together as much as possible, but pretty much exclusively with their mom. 'As soon as the twins are done their semester Angelina wants them all to get out of L.A. for a good chunk of the summer,' the source says. 'Where they go is going to depend on her schedule with work. She may have a film over the summer, possibly in Europe, so depending on how things come together they may all relocate there temporarily for the summer.' Brad, 61, and the Salt actress famously feuded over their co-owned French winery, Château Miraval, and to this day Angie loves to spend time on the continent. She's filmed plenty there and makes sure the kids have tons of exposure to European culture. But the source notes, 'If she doesn't have a shoot, then she would love to go to their place in Cambodia.' The former A-list couple adopted their oldest, Maddox, from Cambodia and the country holds a special place in Angelina's heart. She's spent plenty of time there both as a United Nations rep and as a filmmaker working on her Khmer Rouge-era movie, First They Killed My Father. Ultimately, 'She will give the kids a chance to weigh in,' as to where they get to spend their summer. 'If she's not on location for work then they will get the final say on where they all go. That may pose something of a challenge because they've all got different interests, but New York and London are both high on everyone's list.' The destination may be up in the air, but one thing is for sure: dad Brad will be iced out of the family festivities. As In Touch previously reported, the Troy star's kids have been giving him the cold shoulder since the divorce due to his alleged abuse of their mother. Though Brad denied the accusations, documents released during the winery fight and Angie's own lawyers accused him of getting physical with her and their children on a private jet in 2016. A second source previously told In Touch that, 'Right now, all he can do is watch from a distance,' as his large brood moves on to succeed and enjoy family time without him, 'which is very hard.' The first source suggests that beyond hurt feelings, there may be even more complications with the family's vacation plans, considering Knox and Vivienne are still underage. 'Dealing with Brad and the legal aspect of it all will no doubt pose a headache, but [Angie]'s managed to pull it off every other year, so she's sure it will go ahead.'
