Peter Dutton said ‘one thing' and then did another concerning Australian Chinese voters
Fitzpatrick and Co Advisory Managing Director Eamonn Fitzpatrick discusses outgoing Opposition leader Peter Dutton's strategy with Australian Chinese voters.
'Like any group of voters, they get it when someone is saying one thing to them, and one thing to everyone else,' Mr Fitzpatrick told Sky News Australia.
'That's what Peter Dutton did, he would wander into Australian Chinese communities, try to pitch to them that, you know, Australia's relationship with China would be at its high point under him, and then he would go out and he would say something else altogether.'
'Australian Chinese voters … they want what everybody else wants, which is a party and a leader that is actually focused on the economy.'
