I brought the Shark HydroGo misting fan to the gym, and now I hate working out a little bit less

According to recent research from Shark, 44% of women worry about others staring at them while sweating at the gym. And honestly? I'm shocked it's not more. I enjoy working out at my own (gentle) pace, but I turn cherry-red within minutes on the treadmill, and it can take me hours to stop looking flushed and flustered. And while I'm not proud of it, feeling self-conscious has definitely stopped me from pushing myself to the limits at the gym. So when Shark invited me to join a workout class, ominously called SweatBox, I wasn't so sure it was the event for me. Then, I heard that I'd have my own HydroGo misting fan to cool me down throughout the event, and I knew I had to try it for myself. Here's how it went. Now reduced to just $99 in the Grey shade, the FlexBreeze HydroGo Misting Fan is low in stock at Amazon and direct at Shark, so this is a deal worth picking up fast. I thought I might be quite good at boxing. It's just punching a bag, so how hard could it be? As it happens, very hard. The first thing I noticed was that the workout involves a lot more than just your arms. You need to be agile and on your toes to keep up with the sets, and to top it off, we were tasked with burpees and push-ups in-between, so this was 45 minutes of pure cardio. None of us started the workout with our fans on, but after the warmup almost all of us had discarded a glove to set the fan on full blast. The HydroGo can't oscilate, but it does have a flexible base that allows you to point it up at you, or face you directly from a table or desk. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. After 30 minutes, my legs felt like jelly, so I broke out the big guns and turned on the HydroGo's misting function. As I've said, you need to be on your toes in a boxing class, so I was slightly concerned that the mist might make the floor around me a little slippy. And while I can't recommend you do this if you're in a public space where you could trip others up, I didn't experience any slips throughout the rest of my class. I was able to burpee and plank without losing my grip on the floor. In truth, without the fan pointing directly towards my face, I don't know if I'd have managed the last few sets. And that sheen on my face after the workout? Who's to say whether that's sweat, or the refreshing mist from my personal fan. As I said in my Shark FlexBreeze HydroGo review, the misting feature on this fan is incredibly fine. I've happily used it with makeup on without worrying that it'll melt the mascara off my face. But despite how gentle the misting can feel, it is incredibly effective at cooling you down. Combined with the multi-speed fan, the mist provides an instant cooling effect on impact, and its reach is pretty direct thanks to its single outlet at the front of the fan. I was also pleased that the fan lasted the full 45-minute workout without running out of charge. If you put us head to head — what will last longer in the gym, Millie or her misting fan? — I'm pretty sure the HydroGo would win by a mile. I can't say I'll be rushing back to SweatBox any time soon (in truth, I was more limping than rushing for a couple of days after the workout) but if I do, you best believe the HydroGo is coming with me. How to keep cool in hot weather Most of us welcome hot weather, but when it's too hot, there are health risks. Here are three ways to keep cool according to the NHS... Keep out of the heat if you can. If you have to go outside, stay in the shade especially between 11am and 3pm, wear sunscreen, a hat and light clothes, and avoid exercise or activity that makes you hotter. Cool yourself down. Have cold food and drinks, avoid alcohol, caffeine and hot drinks, and have a cool shower or put cool water on your skin or clothes. Keep your living space cool. Close windows during the day and open them at night when the temperature outside has gone down. Electric fans can help if the temperature is below 35 degrees. Check the temperature of rooms, especially where people at higher risk live and sleep. Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers. Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one. CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of. 3 The Challenge White Desk Fan is currently available for £25 Credit: Argos

Ninja coolers slashed by 20% with this code - but not for long

Shoppers can get coolers and other Ninja products with a discount With warmer weather on the way, those who have been eyeing up new kit for outdoor parties are in luck. Ninja has launched an unmissable sale across its entire cooler range and other products for a limited time. Ideal for keeping the essentials cool enough, even on the hottest days, Ninja's brand-new FrostVault Wheeled Cooler is the perfect gadget for all outdoor adventures. Whether it's stocking up for summer picnics, road trips, or just wanting to keep drinks chilled to perfection at home, Ninja's range has got shoppers covered. From now until midnight on Monday, May 12, customers can save 20% on all Ninja coolers when they use the code: COOL at checkout. Usually, a 28L FrostVault would cost £249.99, but it's currently down to £229.99 online. After using the discount code, it'll slash another £45.99 off the price and take the total cost of the cooler down to £184. The cooler is available in three different tones: slate grey, cloud white and olive. Suitable for a range of needs, shopper will also find three different size capacities: 28L, 42L, or 61L. Alternatively, we did find a cheaper option available at Halfords. The 40 Litre Electric Coolbox is down to £93 online from £105. For cooling down guests indoors and outside, the FlexBreeze HydroGo Misting Fan from Shark retails for £129.99 and allows for versatile cooling options. The FrostVault Wheeled Cooler boasts premium ice retention and a unique Dry Zone drawer that keeps food cool, dry, and at fridge-safe temperatures. Thanks to FrostVault Technology, cold transfers into the Dry Zone, keeping food fresh and separate from drinks and ice. One customer shared in a five-star rating: "This, by far, has been the best cooler I have used. The ice in the cooler lasted for a good four days, and even though towards the end when the ice turned to water, the insulation in the cooler kept our drinks very cold." Another impressed buyer added: "Really pleased with the Frost Vault, would recommend it, it has kept soft fruits and salad things cold and fresh for alot longer than i would have thought, only used ice block to keep it cool. Very impressed, do need the wheels and handle because of the size but wheels very easy." But not all reviews are glowing, with one less pleased customer knocking off one star. Their review reads: "Very well made and does keep things cold. However I didn't like the faffing about with ice to get it cold. It is also heavy when empty, so when full you are probably going to need two people to lift it in and out of a car. It would be great for keeping drinks cold at a home barbecue." But that's not all. Ninja has also sliced prices on some of its bestselling kitchen essentials. There's whopping £50 off the Ninja StaySharp 14-Piece Stainless Steel Knife Set, complete with a sleek wood block and built-in sharpener. This premium set usually retails for £199.99, but with the code: KNIVES, it's £149.99. The Ninja Foodi StaySharp Knife Block with Integrated Sharpener set is also reduced by £30 and down to £129.99 with the same discount code. And if you've had an eye on an air fryer, the Double Stack XL 9.5L Air Fryer is now £40 off with the code STACKED. This powerful dual-drawer air fryer is perfect for cooking big family meals and boasts stacked drawers that let multiple dishes be cooked at different temperatures simultaneously.
