ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — Passengers aboard a Frontier flight from Florida feared 'the end' after the plane's wheel broke off during a hard landing on Tuesday evening. According to Frontier, Flight 5306 from Orlando to San Juan experienced a hard landing upon arrival. 5 Florida restaurants win Michelin Stars Melani González Wharton captured the view outside the window from her seat, which showed an orange glow and sparks under the plane. González Wharton said one of the tires in the front of the plane broke off and caught fire. 'For a few minutes, I thought it was the end of our story here on earth. We were landing, and the landing was very bad, aggressive, and at high speed … It all happened right at my window,' González Wharton wrote on Facebook. González Wharton's video showed the plane's left front wheel missing after the landing. A spokesperson from Frontier told that the aircraft landed safely and no one was hurt.
