City of Florence launches interactive map for district polling information
FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) — The City of Florence is debuting an interactive map that is designed to help residents find their polling place and district information.
On Jan. 21, the Florence City Council adopted a new district map in response to the 2020 Census. This interactive tool provides residents with an easy way to access accurate information based on the new map.
The map was developed by the Planning and Community Development team, is now available on the City's website. Residents can also access the map directly.
To use, residents can enter their address into the search bar, and the map will show the necessary information. Users can also zoom in to find detailed information about any specific location in the city.
'The new interactive map is a great resource for our community,' Melissa Bailey, Director of Planning and Community Development, said. 'Our team has worked diligently to ensure it is accessible and easy to use, allowing residents to find the most up-to-date district and polling information quickly.'
The next municipal election is set for Aug. 26 and includes races for mayor and all six district council seats. For information or questions about the upcoming election, contact the City Clerk's Office at 256-760-6679.
